Muffin and Gards giving away the puck like candy at Christmas may not help that. - Garnie
Zaitsev giving it away way more and playing horrible, yet playing more.
Hainsey and z need to be playing a lot less and Dermott and muzzin should unequivocally be getting more time. |

Ugh, so Hainsey was with Rielly in the 2nd onwards?
Hey Babs, stop (frank)ing around. Rielly's been fine on the right side. |

Can't see Dubas trading him while he's the GM to be honest. - walshyleafsfan
Jesus.

Traded for a really good dman but keeps pushing him down the lineup and not playing him in favour of guys who are getting filled in.
Z and hainsey are the worst performing dmen but they are playing more than the likes of Dermott and muzzin. Makes no sense. |

This is ungood:
Rielly Hainsey: we know this sucks. Stop it.
Muzzin Zaitsev: this is kind of a wash in all honesty.
Gardiner Dermott: cool, now Gardiner gets soft OZ starts, but his strength is the breakout.
I get it: Rielly is better on his left side, but he hasn't been that bad. Kid can still skate no matter what side he's on. Rielly-Muzzin is such a stronger pairing than Rielly-Hainsey, who's been actually good on the 3rd pairing. |

Regardless of what he said,I just don't see Dubas trading Nylander. I think he likes Nylander and values what he brings to the team. He could come out and say Nylander walked into my house Xmas day and shat all over our Xmas dinner. Still don't think he would trade him.
Dubas seems to like really good players. |

Thought the defense played alright last night. Even Gardiner wasn't full on poope. Not too many misjakes from him last night, if you can believe that. |

Ain't getting poop for Gardiner. What team is gonna proactively pursue someone who'll single handedly (frank) their playoffs up?
Oilers. Maybe? |

Great game last night. Despite a lot of travel and playing at altitude they had jump as the game went on. If the PP adjustments continue like that I like their chances of solidifying the 2nd seed down the stretch. Go Leafs Go. |

Ah Jakie Boy. The one of the Leafs best dman who's the only guy that you can't trust killing penalties (Dermott gets a bit of a pass because he's only been around 1 year) or trust to be put on when defending a lead in the last 2 minutes because he can't defend? The "high risk - high reward" guy that the high reward part is currently 2 goals and 27 points? That guy?
Yeah, not for me. If you have to shelter a guy who's been in the league 8 years because you simply cannot trust him to defend, and he is a defenseman, I'd rather not waste everyone's time.
He's their 4th, possibly 5th best defenceman. He'd probably be our 4th best winger if that's any consolation.
I'm not one of the ones who'll blindly just accept the multiple errors, lackadaisical, sloppy plays every game because it's just Jake being Jake. |

3 points for McBuston - Steven_Seagull
I see my boy Matthews had 3 points last night
Serious question... how did he play? I heard he had 3 points, but the guys on the radio this morning were saying it was a really quiet 3 points.
Sounds like Nylander and Kapanen were both really good. They were speculating that maybe Matthews should be on a line with those two at some point.
Really good to see Nylander play the way he has the last few games!

He’s being sheltered?
I’ll take a guy who the team gets more goals and shots while he’s on than they give up by a significant amount. A guy who the team score more with and gives up less while he’s on than just about anyone on the team.

So, I suppose the most recent performance changes the reality of all past performances. How did I know that was going to happen.
