I don't know. I don't recall ever seeing a PP unit that has only ever done one thing. They had more creativity under the same coach previously. Kadri was scoring a lot on the PP. JVR was. Even Bozak potted a few.
If it truly is the coach, I really worry about the team's leadership that they would still be doing this over 2 months later. Can no one speak up?

It's weird whether it's the players fault or the coach I suppose. I just feel it's more odd that the players would be doing the same thing over and over and failing by their own choice rather than that it's the coach being stubborn and sticking with a play he designed and is sure will work.
And on the bright side, we have a pp goal in which it's a JT dish across the crease to Matthews, which seems slightly different than their usual play, so excellent.
Now a 4 minute pp! Sweet. |
