Too quiet for a game day... are we just pacing ourselves for the next installment of how the Pens are doomed by RW?

No chance he writes about the game as the focus

I'm with you there. The most frustrating thing with the Pens the last 2 seasons has been bringing in other teams failures and not giving your own guys a shot.

Why trade Pouliot and then sign JJ. Why then trade Sprong for Petterson? Why trade for Pearson when Blueger is ready to contribute? JR has gone from the best GM to possibly the worst now that Chiarelli got whacked.

It would be a perfect scenario if Prow could come up and hold down the 3RD slot. Schultz is on contract for one more year which could give him time to develop into a replacement.

Yeah and Id take Hags back as a pending UFA even if didn't score vs 3 more of Pearson. Dude sucks.

They're slotting Hornquest in the bottom 6 now right? Between Him Pearson and JJ that's like $13mil in bottom dwellers

Hahaha

I almost responded to more Malkin/Raffl/intentional/not intentional stuff.... But F that, don't wanna discuss it anymore. What's done is done.

So yeah, hopefully they bang out a win this eve. Certainly capable. Would love to see them start a game really strong, like in the first 5 to 10 mins.

One thing I love about hockey players is they don't whine incessantly about this kind of thing. Most NHL players realize every game contains dirty hits/plays/actions etc. It's just another day in the life of a violent sport. I'm pretty sure this is why the NHL punishes results instead of actions. It's the mindset. The don't dwell on it. They leave that to the fans.

Anyway... Pretty much sick of the subject too.

Since I don't follow other teams as much as some others around here, I'd rather talk about who JR should target for defensive help. Not "pie in the sky" trades, but someone serviceable.

It shouldn't matter whether Malkin hit him or not. The intent was there and Malkin knew exactly what he was doing. Geno had full control of his stick.

It should be three or four games, but it won't be because Malkin is a star and the league is notorious for under-penalizing these types of players.

There's absolutely no place for this kind of crap that could have resulted in a very serious injury.

^^ As foreseen ^^

What a joke.

Attempted murder and a half assed stick swing at an opponent who is wearing a robo cop helmet and just punched you in the back of the head are pretty separate things. Even if Malkins stick would have hit him I doubt it even hurts with the shield Raffl wears. 1 game is plenty.

Ok what about a man who beats his wife? No blood or Bruising, that should make the sentence less right? That is Malkin's reasoning for why he shouldnt be punished. yes they are different things but the scenario is the same. All those things have intent to them and no matter the result should be punished harshly as there is no excuse for that behaviour. That is they key point you are failing to realize
