JJ is really a LD. I could easily see Sullivan moving him back to LD on the second pairing with Schultz and 3rd pairing of Pet and Rikki.

Just let JJ play RD. He sucks on the left, can't be much worse on the right. In fact, last night, from the right side, wuth no pressure, he made a very nice straight pass from blue line to blue line to...Bjugstad, I think it was. Small victories at this point.

Or.... or.... just spitballing here.

We give him that skin disease Hossa has... hes on LTIR for the next 4 years and change... and we use our 1st round pick for a Dman. Because we all know JR is going to spend it anyway.

Yes... They both are able to play the right side. It's just sucks they're so bad at it.

I feel like Jusso was transitioning into a serviceable #6. Especially at his AAV, but Jack is so bad. It will never happen but if we could find a way to dump him, that would be swell

Allegedly yes. I read that "worse Dman rental" blog. But he still can't be worse than JJ.

Or we spend a 5th and and get Russel and a 3rd from Edmonton. Still better than JJ and less term.

Edit : yes... that is how anti JJ I am. I'd take Russel willingly as a replacement.

I think he's much worse attempting to clear the zone on his back hand. If they insist on playing him, and they will, I'd have him at LD with Rikkola.

Not that we have much room to talk since we have Johnson, but how in the world did McDonald get that contract? Was he ever 5 mil a year good?

The islanders had a crazy bid war for him and Holmgren wanted to really double down on what he spent on him. Edit* and no, he wasn't

What Malkin did was stupid. I like violent hockey but not swinging a stick. In my opinion either fight or go to the bench. Pushing, shoving, hugging, face washing, slashing is just boring and childish. I don’t care if it deters anything I would want a guy on my team who is at least willing to do something about it. Maybe all our best players wouldn’t be the ones finding themselves in these situations. Malkin knows Raffl can do whatever he wants and unless he does something no one will. “The refs should just call penalty’s”. Ok they don’t sooooo?

No, but he sure can block a shot.

He was misused as a #1 on NYI because, well, they had no one else, so Homer paid him like a #1.

At best, he was a #4.

Left shot Right D. He can play both sides, like Riikola

And then when they are on there way down the turnpike they jump out halfway fight each other get into legal trouble terminating each of their contracts. Yes perfect! But if that happens we keep our 1st

No, I was talking about Schultz when I said versatile, as the post looked like it implied he could play both sides.

Of course they are talking about JJ. It’s worse than Craig Adams around here these days.
