I know you're being sarcastic, but this was the narrative that RW tried to tell people was the reason they got Reaves.
No one (that I remember) said that it would deter Raffl from doing it the first time. It can either 1) lead to mutually-agreed destruction (Reaves jumps Giroux) or 2) make Raffl reconsider it the next time after Reaves introduces his face to the glass.
This false narrative that RW tried to sell was laughable, at best. That said Reaves was a waste of a roster spot and not worth a 2nd round pick, let alone a first. - jmatchett383
Classic that a Flyers fan would have that point of view.
Pens had just won a 2nd Consecutive Cup based on speed and skill and all of the sudden, GMJR trades to get a goon? It's as if he forgot why they were successful.
RW wasn't pushing a false narrative. Reaves was a waste of a roster spot. Sad thing is, he is/was more productive than Simon, Pearson or Jack Johnson are now... |

C'mon now...3-4 games for a swing and a miss when guys are leg tying eachother left and right on a nightly basis and they don't even call the trip?
1 game max...and I think he will be fined and not suspended because
1) Reactionary
2) Foul committed before not called
3) He was given a major in the game and thrown out
4) No injury
5) Too many guys on the Flyers look like Gritty - icedog97

Yeah if Raffle didnt hit the ice like he'd been shot, there wouldn't of even been a penalty. My initial reaction last night was a fine. |

Let’s not resort to “oh it must be their opinion because they’re flyers fans.” Having that thought process is retarded. |

Nope. It was a statement they made the last few years of how suspensions are weighted in the playoffs. 1 game = 5 regular season games. So an automatic 1 game suspension in the regular season means squat in a postseason scenario. - Guile
Then why did Craig Adams get his 1 game suspension for doing the same thing in 2012? |

Stupid action by Geno. He's lucky that he didn't fully connect with Raffl and he's lucky that the PK bailed him out. I thought he looked good out there coming back from injury. He needs to be smarter.

Gonna have to Google that. We Penguin fans have repressed a ton of info regarding Craig Adams.
Adams was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct
Gonna go with those three warranted at least 3 regular season games at least, which can round up to 1 playoff game.
Or his 6 minutes on ice meant triple the punishment vs Malkin and his minutes.
Or who knows, player safety department is (frank)ing trash.
But legit going to heavily lean on that instigator mark. It's very rarely called. |

You seem to have glossed over the part of my post where I said, "Reaves was a waste of a roster spot and not worth a 2nd round pick, let alone a first.."
Of course it was a dumb move, an overpayment, and a waste of a roster spot, no one has said otherwise (recently). So shut the (frank) up with this, "OMG IT'A FLYERZ FAN THEY ALL LIKE THE GOONZZZZ!" |

Looked like another shoulder problem. I'm afraid he's done for the year. Like somebody said last night.... Jack Johnson is now in the top 4. - madmike71
Hes been in the top 4. Up until now hes had the 3rd highest toi average. This will just expose our depth. With Schultz hopefully back soon, do we even try a rental? Cant afford one that isn't ufa |

Isnt Schultz a RD... like Letang and JJ? Shouldn't he still get pushed to the 3rd pairing... or am I way too wishful thinking and remembering something wrong. |

JJ is really a LD. I could easily see Sullivan moving him back to LD on the second pairing with Schultz and 3rd pairing of Pet and Rikki. |

Yes... They both are able to play the right side. It's just sucks they're so bad at it. |
