Yeah Daley is just coming back from breaking his foot. Kronwall is playing on 1 leg. Ericsson is Andrei Sustr's twin pylon brother. Blashill recently called Danny Dekeyser "elite." An elite bean pole maybe. Hey maybe he can dominate the Bean pots!

Taylor Raddysh and a 2020 1st round pick. Since we can't trade our 2019 1st round pick, it will have to be 2020.

Fair enough. We have seen time and time again fans be disappointed by the return their team gets on trade deadline day. I just don't see teams giving up more than this type of package especially if all three (Panarin, Stone, Duchene) are available plus guys like Simmonds and Skinner. Too many teams will not trade significant assets for pending UFAs. It'll leave you with 4-5 teams that have the assets and believe in their chances of winning the cup with that addition.

Why wouldn't teams just keep their players if they're getting dirtball offers? I'd keep them just for spite. Why should I give you a Ferrari for a Ford Pinto? Just because you feel the need for speed? This isn't Bargain Bolts put my team over the top to win a Stanley Cup yard sale. Chiarelli is no longer a GM. Donny Waddell is available for his regular fleecing. I'd be calling him. Or Chayka. He'll likely trade Keller for a pile of garbage.

there's always a lot of "Leaf hate"...

what I've learned today...

1) Nylander is garbage and won't get anything in return...
2) Dubas is apparently scouting the Canes, but only looking at Hamilton, he's not allowed to look at other players
3) Leafs couldn't possibly get Hamilton for Nylander
4) Kotkaniemi will become either a 1st line center or be only a marginal 3rd line center according to a Lightning fan.. "its unpossible for him to become a very good 2nd line center"... because we all know exactly what a young player will become after they have player 40+ games in the NHL - personally thought he looked very good in the game against the Leafs
5) apparently Blues fans are very opinionated about Nylander and what his trade value might be... relative to Dougie Hamilton
6) also learned today that Scouts should no longer travel to watch games live... they should just use fancy stats and 5 minute video montage's narrated by Bruins announcer Jack Edwards - who will no doubt give most non biased, fully informed analysis of any player going.

my suggestion...

Leafs trade Nylander to Carolina, Calle Rosen to St. Louis
Canes send Hamilton to St. Louis, Ferland to Toronto
Blues send Paryako to Toronto, Bozak, Klim Kostin to Carolina
