No morning skate today. I believe that Gordon wanted to give them a few practices first but you never know. |

Ghost needs to take a seat but I don't think they'll take him out of the lineup. My guess is AMac comes out for Myers and maybe replaces Gudas if they move him at the deadline.
Vorobyev probably comes out for Bailey |

Speaking of physical play, wasn't it Hakstol who didn't want Gudas and Hagg out there together last year. Currently they don't look too bad together. - RustyPipes
I am not a fan of both together one bit, it puts more pressure on Gudas to be what he should not be and that is a puck carrier. He has had moments, but that is something he should not be focusing on. My pairings would be...
Provorov-Ghost
Sanheim struggled too much on that top pairing last night and would like to see Ghost get his game back. I am hearing some people say Ghost has been playing some elite hockey recently, yet many others are saying he has looked bad. The fact there is such a disparity says it all. He played a lot with Provorov early in the year looking terrible, has played with Sanheim for a decent stretch and has been mixed with the others. Eventually excuses will run out and he needs to find his game that made him successful.
Sanheim-Gudas
The pairing was a solid one for most of the year, if not the best. Give Sanheim some confidence to drive his own pair again and let Gudas be Gudas.
Hagg-Myers
Move Myers in slowly and let him get comfortable. I am sure Myers will make his mistakes, but let Hagg cover them up a bit like he did when he has been paired with Provorov, Ghost and Sanheim. |

I thought that was Vorobyev's best game as a Flyer last night. |

That's not exactly saying much and someone needs to take a seat for Bailey, who has been playing very well for the Phantoms lately. |

Just would rather have the guy stay in if he's starting to figure it out. I'd rather see Raffl out tonight. |

I like the bottom 4. The Provy-Ghost pairing had its issues. Provy wasn't himself, Ghost wasn't quite himself. But, Provy I think is coming back and it may work now. I know people want to trade Gudas to play the youngsters, but I don't like trading good players to try out relatively un-tested players. Could you imagine the lineup with Morin, Hagg, Gudas, Provy, Myers in it? A bit scary to cross the blue line. Of course there is Sanheim and Ghost too so what to do? Maybe some of these issues will be panned out before the TDL, but I wouldn't mind keeping Gudas. |

So you want to see the guy who got rewarded for his game by being out there during the extra attacker time sat by the coach who rewarded him?
Good luck with that. |

rather trade raffl, sooner the better to see if bailey or whoever can fill that spot going forward. |

It was reported by EK that 15 team scouts were at the game last night. I don't think that they were all there just to scout Simmons. |

I was thinking AMac, but Crosby in a Flames sweater would be interesting. |

Speaking of Calgary, EK, knower of all things says they might want Simmer. Let’s play that game, what do they have of interest in a Simmer trade? |

Then you turn around and punch him back, or you drop your gloves and start wailing. You NEVER swing your stick at a guys head.
At least you get he needs to sit. I doubt he gets more than 2. Because the NHL wants that Superstar on the ice for the outdoor game. - MBFlyerfan

Brutal non-goal at that point in the game. Makes you wonder about the point of replays if a goal like that can be negated. - wolfhounds
The only thing a replay would show is that the whistle blew. It's official error, but if you do replay of that then we all need screens on our seats for every call and noncall in the game. |

That was def a head scratcher. Raffl was playing well and drew the penalty but still. - Hughjass
Nobody will ever be able to convince me a fourth line guy, who hasn’t seen very much PP (if any) in his career, with the right choice as an extra attacker, with an arsenal of players still on the bench. |
