I'm very pleased that Fletcher has both Bailey and Myers on the team now. |

I loved watching the Avs during their cup runs. Sakic, Forsberg, Deadmarsh, Roy, Foote just wow.
I just hated Claude... - dragonoffrost
Me too, those Avalanche teams with Sakic and Forsberg were so good. The 80's Flyers teams, despite three Cup final losses, have always been my favourite though.
I can honestly say, I've never, ever, liked the Penguins though |

From here on out i think it's more of winning after a loss and playing above .500 hockey. I don't think this solidifies anything about the streak, we've already won how many games out of our last 12? The streak has been solidified. Team might want this one a little more because it's the Pens but thats about it. - ClaudeFather
Tonight is huge because to make the playoffs the Flyers will have to knock out either the Pens or the BJs. |

Who stands out as a trading partner for Simmonds? - kennygarcon
LeBrun says:
Buyers
Tampa Bay Lightning: On the surface what you’ll hear is the Lightning gave up a ton of futures to acquire Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller last season and can’t really keep doing that every year. Hogwash, I say. You want to win the Stanley Cup? Be aggressive again. This is a team with very few holes, if any, but as I’ve consistently said for more than a month, it screams a little more top-nine muscle and Wayne Simmonds (whom they’ve checked on) would be completely perfect as a rental
Boston Bruins: It might be the worst-kept secret in the NHL that the Bruins would love to add a top-six or at least a top-nine forward who preferably can play on the right side. It’s believed they’ve shown interest in Panarin, Simmonds, Ferland and Jakob Silfverberg among others (the Ducks are hopeful to re-sign Silfverberg and take him off the market). Panarin would make an already very good Bruins team downright scary. Simmonds? Wow. His beef would rock in Beantown. Either way, the Bruins are adding up front before Feb. 25. |

I think if Simmer gets moved it won't be until after the 23rd when the Flyers play PIT in the stadium game. i just don't see them moving him before then unless the team goes full dumpster fire and starts a losing streak again... |

Idk, if a team called and offered a 1st today or tomorrow plus a prospect, I’m probably taking the deal. Plus it’s not like this is Simmer’s 1st outdoor game |

I keep Simmer here for the outdoor game more for the fans than for Simmer. Imagine the farewell he'd get if it was known he's being traded the next day? |

I suggested last week that Tampa could use Simmer, he could be there missing ingredient. If I am Fletcher I work a package for T Johnson
include conditional pick with Simmer on if he resigns. Tampa gets their winger, future assets that are depleted now and cap relief to sign Point etc

Eh idk, I rather manage my assets better and look past this season rather than worry about our fans. Plus no doubt a ton of Pitt fans will be at the Staidium Series gams. He’s goin to get a great farewell regardless and you know he’ll place a full or half page ad in the paper thanking Philly for everything. |

If Wayne isn't signed before that game I expect Gordon to start him. Let the fans go apepoop and hope it spurs the team. |

More housecleaning by Fletcher over the weekend plus an excellent team win over Anaheim. That brings us to today...I can’t just say win this game. More than just the 2 points...It’s the Penguins. I always hate to lose and love winning, but the Penguins...we haffta, haffta, have to win! Additionally, playing them so soon again in what will become our very first outdoor game win, it is important to lay the groundwork. It’s like a win-win-win.
So let’s win tonight. Let’s go Flyers!
