Thing is. I don't think the coaching is the issue on the PP. It's the players themselves. No coach would ever dream of telling them the approach the PP the way they are doing.

- go into the dirty areas
- get their compete level up
- get pucks in deep
- play a full 60
- and give a 110%

the issue is that leafs play the pp on the same tempo.
doesn't matter whether it's slow or fast - it's easier to play against for opponents if all at same tempo, since more predictable.
i'd like to see dermott on the pp for that reason.

It's Been reported that the players are being told to go to a spot and don't move from that spot, to not be creative. That is why they keep making the same seam passes even when they aren't working. That is why they keep doing drop passes and they get intercepted, because opposition knows it's coming.

They are being told to be robots, don't deviate from the plan.
