He just needed an opportunity to play. His ceiling is NHL third pair strong offensively but needed to learn how to play defense in AHL. Too many other dman prospects and he looses out. Tuulola might later have same fate. II suspect GM's get fed up when players are injury prone. I would guess that with the heavy euro scouting, an organizational spot for the 50 or so players goes from Snuggerud to a newbie. Next: pass on Edjsell imho

Possible. This Snuggerud move seems very timely. Otherwise he could have waited until the end of the year for them to decide on his future.

Sounds like Snuggerud might be done and the Hawks maybe forced this decision earlier to give them more room to take on extra players at the deadline.

Maybe they have something specific in mind.

I can see the Hawks giving him a "role" or some side money after termination.

Blues had two great looking goaltenders on their farm club: Bishop and Allen

Maybe next year both are former Blues. Someone on this board said Binnington has ripened on the farm club and is NHL worthy. Allen is inconsistent and injury prone.seemingly all the time.
