Thanks for the jinx.
- jmatchett383

Not a jinx in the least. I’ll accept your apologize around 9:40 tonight. Kings are awful. No way we lose this game. Actually I think they win right through Pittsburgh. Then lose a game before starting a new streak.

Thank you.

I wrote a report on that in fifth grade. When he first heard his teacher mention it, young Scoob thought it was amazing that a river could catch on fire. How was this possible?!? Water doesn't catch on fire! Young Scoob was disappointed when he found out how it happened.

Not exactly sure what Montreal's plan is for this deadline but i'd be interested in a guy like Artturi Lehkonen from them in a deal for Simmonds.

If you could go back in time to talk to Young Scoob, what would you tell him?

Shea Weber at 50% retained or no deal.

That goes for any trade.

What? Any deal with Montreal would require them sending us Shea Weber with a 50% salary retention.

Then, when he's ready to retire at age 39 and Nashville will be hit with an $13M cap penalty for the next 2 years, we use him as leverage to pillage Nashville so that they can acquire and healthy scratch him.

I don't think they'll be looking at rentals, but you never know.

Only thru 23-24. Does that change your mind?

Realistically, TB will be looking to add. Not make sideways moves. And Johnson is a pretty big part of their team.

Haha not at all, he's a decent player but at his age and that contract no thanks. We have young guys coming up that need time to play as well as the young guys on the roster. If we are gonna take away minutes from one of these young kids it needs to be a guy worthy of it.

If Weber retires he still gets paid and the cap hit goes against Nashville, right?

Is Provy an RFA this summer? Is it possible another team submits an offer sheet on him?

I'm thinking we are in a good place with him negotiation-wise. He had an "off" season and we could probably sign him for a few bucks less. I'm sure his team goes in high but I think this season's performance helps us. No?
