Not sure how that works. It depends on whether their contract is written for their specific title or just a role in the organization. Maybe Gordon signed a new contract as an interim coach which changed his salary. - Glak18
I would think one of those is what happened. Either his original contract was for any job he held in the organIzation or he got a quick rework when named interim.

According to capfriendly he is being paid 2 million
Probably depends on his contract. Just like players some have 2-way and some don't. - FlyersGrace
I have no idea but it would seem odd to me for a two-way coaching contract. Maybe there is a clause that gets you paid more but he was hired as the AHL coach at the time with no expectation of coaching the NHL since Hak was under contract. I would lean towards no increase but purely speculation.
There is nothing wrong with me and to be honest I could say the same thing about others on here. I come here for the discussions and when things like this happens the first thing I do is go back to re-read everything and why it happened.
Once again someone asked a question, I shared my opinion about the situation that could happen, but like you said "more uptight and disagreeable" comments came flooding in. I didn't inject into anyone's discussion to force my disagreement on others. - Glak18
Don't worry, I know your like this all the time... good or bad???? People will see you one way while they agree with you and another way when they don't. For example... when MJL goes after someone for have an opinion i love it... But mist of the time its annoying.

I found it interesting that Gordon is getting paid the same as Laviolette, but I don't know how accurate those numbers are.

That is odd. But Lavy will probably see a raise soon with how Nashville is doing. Also cost of living in the area may be factored when a coach is working on his deal.

Yeah, but I don't see where the website gets 2 million from. Contract details say unknown.

Something I heard yesterday that kind of made me think a bit. We all know Torts can be an bumhole. Maybe he's worn out his welcome with Bob and the Bread Man. Could we see a deal with the players where they resign if Torts is canned after this season.
