That’s the point. It’s subjective. The east has some of the worst teams, but the best.. TB. The west has a bigger number of top tier contenders who are definitely dominating their conference. The East has some great teams too, but not have not been good enough to pull away except for TB. the League is right across the board. I think calling one conference good and the other garbage is just not accurate.[/img]

Looks like Feb. 25th (Trade Deadline Day) is shaping up to be another dud! Looks like teams are wanting the get a head start instead of being caught up in the rat race.

That's a meaningless breakout in accounting for only the 5 worst teams, when the next 4 worst teams that are ranked just higher than the 5th overall worst Panthers' 50 points, each have just a whole 1 point more with 51 points, and are all Western Conference teams. That makes the West have 5 of the 9 overall lowest ranked teams in the overall league standings from 23rd to 31st in ranking.
Taking it a step even further, in using the same 7 points overall difference from the 27th ranked Panthers' 50 pts. down to the bottom 31st ranked Senators' 43 pts., the Wild in having 7 points more than the Panthers with 57 are 17th ranked overall in the standings. Among those teams including the Wild down to the 22nd ranked Rangers, 4 of those 6 are also Western C. teams, resulting in the West having 8 of the 10 next lowest ranked teams over the NHL's bottom five worst, as well as the West having 9 of the bottom 15 ranked teams overall (60%) in the NHL.
