Unless they are in the process of losing all seven of those games, my guess is that Stan will NOT be a seller of any piece that would help the Hawks make the post-season this season.

To me, that includes the likes of Kruger and Anisimov.

And he shouldn't - plenty of time before the draft and July 1.

What he SHOULDN'T be is a buyer that costs him any asset that could be useful for the future - certainly including any prospect.

So - I'm expecting not much (if anything) from West Madison street this month.

As much as they will get back for the assets they have to trade, they should leave things as they are in case they make the playoffs. In fact some cheap adds to improve the bottom 6 and defensive D is the way they should go to prep for the playoffs if that looks probable at the TDL.

Strome with 3 primary assists last night. I see in his draft year he was projected as possibly a Nicolas Backstrom type, to me he looks more like a Joe Thornton (minus the fighting ability). I wouldn't mind if he blossoms into either one.

Yeah, this winning streak is fun while it lasts, but realistically, I think they are looking at next year right now and evaluating exactly what they have, hence the revolving door with defensive and 4th line scratches.

IMO Keoukeouk > Forsling and anybody > Perlini. Perlini has size and speed but the hockey IQ of an eggplant.

Was having a tough go so far this morning until I read this. All better now. Great line.

I think if they truly believe they have a shot, you will see the veteran Ward more and more in the net

If anything does happen, it will most likely be at the TDL when teams get a little panicky and give up more than they should. Stan will not be a buyer. at "worst" he will be making a hockey trade that gets an active player back.

I'm not really on board with the "Stan shouldn't move anyone" thought. If there is a move out there that benefits the team, I think he does it (especially for one of the rotation D that we have right now.

He's still really young. He could fill out, grow a beard, and get a little slower and nastier, then he is Thornton 2.0. Only problem is that Toews might start to hate him a little bit.

Agreed. Was at the game last night and 7 really has to be limited. Why he's still on the PP is beyond me. He just stands at the top of the line right side and doesn't move regardless and if the puck finds him he just chips it back in. 3rd pairing with Gus on 12 mins/game max going forward.
- Assman22

Because he still brings a heavy shot, which is something missing elsewhere. He doesn't need to move, stand there and rip a shot when you can.

It was his shot on the second PP goal that Saad cleaned up the rebound.

I would love to sneak in and get to play them in the first round. We have nothing to lose and the vets i our locker room have never played with that type of freedom. I think we would get them to 6 games.

I feel like we would get Wpg or Cal. We definitely do owe them for the sweep. I know we've bounced them a few times, but that one does not sit well with me.

I hope by the tdl, Bowman improves our bottom 6 and adds a d man. I don't think he'll trade our prospects or futures. We're heading in the right direction and what we need now is pretty cheap.

Maybe he can get Strome's brother Ryan out of New York (former overall #5), and have his career resurrected.

Too expensive at $3.1M and Dylan is the much better player.

With the win last night, plus all the other outcomes (too many OT games) the Blackhawk playoff probability has increased from 15% to 17%.

(Info from The Athletic)

Still a lot of teams to jump and almost everyone has games in hand vs. the Hawks.

And there is more in the tank I think. Tanner LOVED Strome (and also hated Perlini), Tanner is most often wrong on matters of hockey, but I think he had it right with those two.

Ends after next year, not that long a commitment, he has talent. A third line of Strome, Saad, Kahun looks pretty good. You can take that contract if you can dump AA's. I would trade Forsling for him

Yeahhhhhh but because he doesn't move or get involved, the PK is cheating over to cover the remaining PP unit.

Hahahahaha!!!!

I would have let it slide for you being a Canadian, but you said that you've been in The States.

What part of Canada are you in? I really want to see Vancouver, I hear it's a really nice place.

- I Am The Breadman

I'm in Ontario, about 40 miles east of Toronto. Vancouver is gorgeous as is Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise. I really like the east coast too. If you get the chance go to Quebec city in the walled area, it's beautiful with great restaurants.

I've been all over the U.S including Hawaii. My daughters used to play competative softball so we were tavelling all over the place.

Was there once. probably the closest you get to Europe without going to Europe.

Now we can add travel to the list of discussion topics along with the environment, fuel cells, crooked politicians and Canadian taxes/healthcare.

Let them cheat, if you notice at the points, Keith and Seabrook are very wide, thus like last night if Keith gets it at the point and whips it to Seabrook, he has a clear lane to shoot, this counteracts the PK, that is trying to cut off half the ice. If Seabrook moves to the middle, the top side PK forward can get in his shooting lane
