In zone defense, it seems that if one dman gets the puck in the corner, he has an outlet up the ice, AND behind the net to his partner, but in man, his D partner doesn't seem to be there.

Also the Dmen are prone to get really high in the D-zone as I've noticed. Which is fine I guess if you have low coverage (defend the area that needs defending), but I am from the school that the D-men clean up everything circles down, D-1 is on the puck, D-2 covers middle. But "position less" hockey is coming. I got an email about teaching that in youth hockey at ADM/mite/squirt level (though I am no longer coaching that lower level).
