That is why you don't hear too much from ISIS anymore, (Besides the fact they have been dealt with properly), is they just look at the new breed of green millenial moron politicians, then chuckle and laugh, knowing if any of that takes hold the country will implode.
- TrueGrit

You haven't heard the last of ISIS. You can't defeat an ideology with guns, bombs and missiles. Look at all the religious ideologies, people and armies have tried to eradicate them and how did that work? You can only defeat an ideology with a better or more feasible ideology.

Electric car technology is not the future it's a green stand in until a better option, hydrogen, is in place. Hydrogen fuel cells will be powering vehicles in the future. They are in California now and it's starting in Montreal.

I saw the Green New Deal today a read a bit about it. I am all for green initiatives. Global warming is a problem. But the Green New Deal won't work in urban areas like Chicago where so many cars street park. There is no logistical way to have all those cars be electric and have enough charging stations for them.

Are you going to ban people from owning cars in urban areas? The idea that public transportation is the answer is complete crap. It is the answer if you live by a good bus route or by the L. Otherwise, that is not a viable option.

I live in Lincoln Park and my office is in Wicker Park. Only way to get there is to drive or take a train to the loop and then a train back to Wicker which takes about 45 mins on a good day.

I agree with you. I said hydrogen fuel cells are the future, they are environmentally clean and sustainable.

Where do you live? The Clarity outside of California is an electric hybrid. The California version uses a hydrogen fuel cell.

Back in the 90's a guy with the nickname "Quarters" Boyle, was convicted of embezzling $2 million in nickels, dimes and quarters from the Illinois Tollway Authority.
- boilermaker100

Quarters' brother was a Chicago Fireman who was nicknamed "Matches" because he was an arsonist. He lived next door to my dad in the northwest section of Chicago a couple blocks inside the city limits from Park Ridge. Their mother was the ring leader and often described as the Irish Mafia in Chicago. When my dad passed in 2006 we sold the house to a cousin of Quarters and Matches.

I work with a guy who has a Tesla. The most bizarre thing is sitting in a car that can out accelerate almost everything on the road and does it as quietly as sitting your livingroom.

I would doubt any team (maybe Minnesota) would get to 95 points this year - prebably / certainly not any of the 7 vying for the last WC spot.

St. Louis would have the best chance - they would need to win 68% of their remaining available points to get there.

The other six would need 72% plus - Chicago, Van, AZ, Edmonton and Anaheim would need more than 75%.

Even to get to 90 points - all would need to win 60% plus of their remaining points.

Certainly one could go on a long streak and get to 90 or even 95 - but none has yet shown the ability to do that. It's very possible that the final Western WC spot could go to a team with less than 90 points.

To get to 90, Chicago would need to win 2/3 of their remaining points.

Shush you hater.

There you go injecting logic again.

Since we are about 3 years outside of Al Gores doomsday clock, I am going to go ahead and call BS on the Fantasy land climate catastrophe.

Now we have 12 more years before the world ends again. The only solution is Globalism and central command of all resources. The idiocy is embarrassing.

Wow, thanks for the inside scoop. I will print this and study it.

Let me guess, Isis has been trading their current stars for draft picks to stock up the farm and make a run in 3 to 5 years?

I guess not everyone caught the joke in my post.

I’ve been with Toyota (the company, not a dealership) for 29+ years. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be largely powered by fuel cell. Transportation, athletes village, etc. fuel cells also coming to the NE USA soon. Also, we’re doing fuel cell semi trucks at the Port of Long Beach, and rolling out to other trucking situations with centralized fueling.

Japan is working toward hydrogen to replace their dependence on oil & nuclear.

What an intelligent response to a set of coherent facts.

Its funny how one side of the spectrum can only settle debate by demanding silence from the opposing side. No irony there.
