The guy overhauled the roster twice so far. Improvements made each time but at a slow rate. Bottcoin plays the game safe, he must be falling asleep on his couch again that narcoleptic cock.

Hope you're right. Except Skinner. Despite my dream scenario of trading him and resigning him in the off season, that's too risky.

I'm definitely not in sell mode yet, but if and when I get there, imagine the dream scenario of trading Skinner and then resigning him. He'd bring a first and grad A prospect no? The botcoin piggy bank would be flush to make some moves in the offseason.

It's went back and forth in here, but from what I understand Skinner has a NTC. We probably can't move him at the deadline unless he waives to go again.

Ahh. I'd forgotten about that. Thanks. I'm fine with that. Just sign him.

Yes, but the difference is Bottcoin is more along the lines of savings bonds. You can't cash it in for like 7 years at least.

checks gallup poll, 3ER still numero uno.

That's what I thought originally, but I guess they can rewrite a NTC and it was renewed.

If you check CapFriendly or any of the sites it still has him holding onto that as well.

Again, this was only word of mouth. I read the CBA in terms of trading players after NTC and you are right. It does have the clause that allows for the renewal. I can't see anything on the web that verifies it one way or another. Just what I read various places.

I for one don't think we are going to sign Skinner.. I think he is asking/demanding close to 9 all day long, I really can't see the Sabres paying that unless they unload Okslowpoke.

not a great start, hopefully it gets better.

I'm open to the argument that he lost the ROR trade

Kane trade was good imo - did not want to give that guy 7x7

Skinner is a win - only way it's a loss is if he walks for nothing

Sheary and Hunwick for a 4th is good. Sheary is 4th in points for forwards

Ennis and Foligno needed to go. They had too much tank stank on them

The rest are a bunch of mid-round picks to avoid watching Kyle criscuolo and the bad Falk. That's a win

Overall I'd say theyre meh trades with the possibility of becoming better.

He added depth to the team and an elite goal scorer. More must be done, but if you look at all the players Botts brought in so far, it's just a reminder of how Murray left the team.

He won't get 9 on the open market, so maybe standing firm is what we should be doing.

Id bet if he gets more than 7.5 it will be for less term.

Would anyone here object to Lindy behind the bench once again?

Lets face it. The defence has been brutal during this streak and give away after give away has been the norm. Dahlin is an up and comer but he gives the puck away like the rookie he is and picks some bad times to get caught rushing or pinching. Last game against the Hawks he rushed in on the 4 on 4 then watched as Kane went the other way on a breakaway. With experience he will realize not only situations dictate when to rush the puck but whose on the ice will influence that decision also. For now he is what he is and he will be a superstar.
Some of the young forwards are tight and maybe some experience will help them relax enough to reclaim some scoring touch over the next couple years. They will learn that it’s quality shots over quantity that win games. A bigger area of concern should be moving out some forwards that are making a hell of a lot of money to be checkers and/or single digit scorers for the year.
The goaltending over the last couple months could have been better but overall this tandem will be a lot better when some of the other areas are cleaned up.
The core of this team is good now and a lot of good times are just around the corner.

Honestly, that's where I've gotten to as well.

If he wants to take a Kane-like deal to stay with an elite center, we're here. If he wants to cash in, he can go to AZ or wherever will offer him a big contract. I don't want to be that team.

Best way I heard it: He's good. He isn't 9M, good. Kucherov is 9.5M. He isn't Kucherov.

Personally, I would love to have Lindy back behind the bench.

I'll accept the ridicule.

If he walks, you throw money at Hall and Stone. Hall can "center" his own line from the wing. It would help L2 immensely.

I'd give Q a try over Lindy.
