Under what premise?
- TheSabresTaco

Under the premise that the AHL isn’t going to anything else for him. If they don’t even want to see what they actually have in him why keep him around? Trade him now and watch some other team unlock his potential. The best we can hope we have in C.J. is a 3rd liner and Nylander at best can be a 1st line sniper. He should take precedent.

John Gibson is an interesting piece.

Not for Buffalo. We have our goalie in Ullmark. Not to mention Ukko coming up nicely.

Maybe we could arrange a three team trade involving the Pens and Malkin.

Let’s just get him out of Buffalo. No more hiring past coaches or players.

Just wondering why’d they laugh at moving on from Malkin?

I googled your old place... which window did those girls yell up to you at?

Lol. Just giving you a hard time. I appreciate your new attitude.

- Da_Cashman

Thank you Sir. 👍
I left out that it was all of the ugly girls. 🤣

I do apologize to all for that very immature behavior.
We all have lessons to be learned no matter how old we are.

You have been rather chilled on here since reinvwenting yourself through Over50 ...WE all could use a dose of that to be honest.

Thank you my friend.

No excuse for my behavior but, I was going through a really rough part of life at that time watching my best friend, my Pops get destroyed by cancer.

Your words are appreciated my friend.
I'm here for anyone that sadly may have to deal with this in the future themselves.

After all, like many of you say, we are all here for the same reason.

Our love for the Buffalo Sabres.
We are all brothers and sisters.👍

We need more unity in this country, not division.

Jeff Carter is 34 years old. Has 3 years remaining after this year at 5.2M. I guess he has a good cap hit but can we rely on him to produce till 37 ? I don’t watch enough Kings games to gauge if the guy still has it or not.
- Pegullaville

I would rather use the Carter money plus the savings from the Pommer and Moulson deals to sign a FA. Carter doesn't fit the profile of what Botts wants but Toffoloi does.

We are going to have over $30M in cap space for next year and once we sign Skinner that number could be around 22-23 and we have RFA's McCabe, Girgs, Larsson, ERod and Ullmark. We don't need to take Carter's cap hit. Toffoli at $4.6 is manageable.

I agree. Carter getting hurt last was for the best .

He did? Excellent. If we could do a deal around Toffoli and Forbort, I would be all in. Forbort might be unrealistic because they traded Muzzin but we could move a few LD in this trade scenario- Guhle and/or Beaulieau. If they want players/picks/prospects, I could see a deal here. Their prospect pool is not good.

can someone tell me what the significance of Sabres 89 is? Everyone seems to put stock in what he says, so I'd like to know the back story! Thank you!

His uncle, I believe, either works for or has a significant connection.

Others on here could probably go more in depth

His Uncle has a connection in the organization. He has called some Big deals before and just provides intel if he hears it. Some people read too much into it and are complete douche bags if he says something that doesn't happen. Him, Homie and Homer from back in the day are the only ones to call actual trades on the Sabres page.

On WGR this morning Housley said that the reason he went back to Hutton after the Dallas game was because the Sabres didn't win in Dallas. If that is in fact true then he definitely needs to be fired. Ullmark played lights out in that game. His mindset scares me!

Yeah, i read that and was like... this is an NHL coach? I hope he was trolling. If not, Terry should be sending him an empty box.

My god that is so dumb, agree. You always play the hot goalie and that isn't even debatable. Botts needs to clean house at the end of the season.

I'll be surprised to see that happen. I expect another big offseason for Botts and if it gets ugly quick next season then a change would be made. That's the way I feel about it atm.

You could be right, although I do think the off season is the time to do it and if this team really slides down the stretch, Botts will have to consider it. I was hoping Payne and Hajt would have been fired last summer.
