lets talk about top 9 production before we worry about top 6
- homiedclown

Way to avoid the question.

This conversation is pointless you are right.

Thompson plays one game with Skinner and gets an easy assist.

Plays 10 games with Sobotka and has nothing.

I wonder why

tage has 11 points in 44 games
casey has 16 points in 51 games

what full season did reinhart have less then 30 points?

these 2 combined might hit 35 this season

- homiedclown

What full season did Reinhart not play on jack or ror’s wing regularly?
What full season did he play every game at center?

with young players, it's nice to see growth and development during the course of a season

hope for next year

I don't see it

again maybe it's coaching

they had to great vet berglund to help them out, didn't work
e-rod, nope
sheary, nope
okposo, nope

it's very frustrating

maybe phil needs to go

but what if the same happens next season?

- homiedclown

It’s pointless dude.

He literally will tear Jack down but can’t even admit Reinhart was awful last year the first 40 games

Reinhart got PP time and either played on Eichel or ROR’s wing. Mitts’ most notable linemate this year is Erod and he gets no PP time. Mitts plays Centre ice and has more responsibility then a winger.

I was called an unintelligent 5 year old. I have an undergrad degree from one of the top 100 universities in the entire world. I obtained a really good entry level job at a bank with a girlfriend who is getting her masters of nursing. How’s your 5 year old doing ?

I don’t have a problem with Sam. Last year when he was centering his own line there wasn’t much to like. People wanted to punt him to the sun. Put him back on a line with a good center and he produces again. It really is apples to apples comparing him and 37. If 37 was riding on jacks wing all year I doubt he would only have 16pts and if 23 was actually centering that “2nd” line I doubt he would have 45pts either. Guess I’m just a hater.

I have 0 issues with Sam on the top line.

But pretending it isn’t an issue that he can’t help out another line is just having blinders on. Especially if he wants a big raise in a year from now

Amen. Get him away from eichel, if he doesn’t disappear, then give him a raise.

First, I'm not impressed.

And if I may be honest with this particular post that I am replying to?

My youngest grandson, my 3 year old grandson doesn't act that ^^ way.

It's a symptom.

Anyway, I hope that you learn to respect other people's opinions without trying to belittle them.
That's when you become a real adult.

IMO of course.

I love waiting 47 years for one and keep listening to excuse after excuse as to why we don't have one. Also more excuses after excuses as to why we should keep holding picks and prospects that will amount to nothing but listening to people say " just another couple more years".
- SABRES 89

right there with you.... So should hold on to draft picks so we can (frank) up there development AKA Casey....

Management royally (frank)ed up handling Casey this year, OR he is a colossal BUST either way it's not good.

I can't do the stats stuff it bores the hell out of me and I just like watching the games.

But here's what I see.

Tage Thompson is too talented to play in the AHL. His skill set already is above the AHL level of play, it just isn't fast enough for the NHL level of play. So to develop meaningfully, he has to gain more NHL experience. Also, his shot is like a chimp with a handgun: very very dangerous, but totally unreliable. That's why he can have 13 shot opportunities in a game and still go scoreless.

Reading too many posts on the subject for too many years leads me to believe that people's take on Sam Reinhart is entirely dependent on whether the poster presumes that he was supposed to be a good hockey player drafted in a bad year, or a franchise defining player. Everybody seems to agree he is a good hockey player. Some people don't think that's enough. The item I will note is that on the top line, Sam produces pretty impressive points. Whether you think that is enough or not, it's true. When Tage was on the top line, he did NOT produce.

I'm totally unclear why Casey Mittlestat hasn't done more on the score sheet. He makes good plays regularly. But he hasn't cashed yet. And I don't see the same kind of set up passes from him that I see from Sam, so I'm less likely to blame Casey's linemates. I think Pachla is right and he is still learning that things he could do at Minnesota and in high school aren't going to work in this league. For me, Casey could use some time in the AHL.

I made an statistical comparison between two players. Then I was told that I inferred that specific player was a problem, when I was simply making a comparison of players playing in similar roles at one point or another. Then I was bealgured for two pages because people can’t read between the lines. If someone throws a punch I throw back. I hope when your 3 year old son gets confronted I hope he sticks up for himself too.

he's a great guy, but he's in over his head... This team needs a coach that takes charge (my way or the highway kinda guy) Phil is never going to be that.

I agree with all of this.
He coached at a high school here in Minnesota about ten mins from me in Stillwater. When we hired him every hockey person I talked to laughed. I was unanimously told that he was terrible even at the high school level. He’s a joke.

the first season I remember was 70-80

80-81 laying an egg to the stars, wait til next year

park in ot game 7 wait til next year

virta leaving to play in europe, wait til next year

2 straight years getting owned by quebec, wait til next year

then blah years

then pierre, losing every series, every time wait til next year

then trade for patty, 1 playoff series win

then the hasek era
lose the semi finals to caps, wait til next year
lose the finals, wait til next year
goal counts that misses the net vs the flyers, wait til next year
f@ckin pen scores in otm wait til next year

dom bolts, team goes bankrupt

then wait a few years

then post lockout, lose semis, wait til next year
win presidents trophy, wait til next year
darcy f's up briere and drury, wait a few years later

then it's excuse after excuse for 12 more years

it's frustrating

Got to catch Samuelsson last night.

Western Mich. had a tough game overall... 6-3 final for the hometown mavericks.

Kid is big, surprising the only the third tallest on the team. Moves VERY well for his size. Wasn't afraid of jumping on on the rush. Made a bad freshman mistake with a bad pinch luckily their goalie made the save on the odd man rush - to be expected. Looks like he is already playing a big role on their PK1 and PP2 units, is good for his development.

Only stat he recorded was a -2, but their team played like poop.

Unrelated: the quality of officiating at the NCAA is poop. They left a kid injured on the ice and let the play continue for another 1:30 atleast.

I should be allowed to think a player is better then Jack
