Curious to see if FLA does in fact flip Brassard and to who/for what... - Hank3Henshaw gusty `1st cole |

Bob and Panarin
for
2019 1st
Denisenko
Brassard
Luongo/Reimer
(+) Some picks? 2020 1st?
Columbus is basically giving up the playoffs though unless they make more trades. - Glak18
Columbus could trade them individually and probably get a much better return (combined) than that.......I think luongo/reimer and brassard probably don't have much if any value, especially when trading for 2 guys like that.
I think panarin alone is probably worth denisenko and a 1st, and Bob will cost a lot more than a couple of cap dumps and a draft pick |

Both players leaving Florida no longer figured in the long-term plans with what is in the system and so trading them for expiring contracts that will probably be flipped for more picks to restock the pipeline for 2-3 years down the road.
Panthers win this because they are not in a win now mode and this builds depth down the road. Penguins, I am not sure they are better or better enough to have given up 3 picks plus the players. |

UFAs.....
Neither is signing in Columbus, value drops. No team is giving up the moon for players that other teams can get in the offseason. Anything of value they can get for either will be a win, otherwise keep them both for the playoffs.
Edit: Oops realized you're a Sens fan, probably think Duchene and Stone are going to bring back a Lindros package. |

Rutherford needed a 3rd line Center and brought in 2 question marks and tied up cap space. Odd move. They should have targeted Brandon Sutter or Pageau or Zack Smith. It's not the deadline yet though.
Good move by Tallon. Frees up cap space. They can always flip Brassard, however THEY need a 3rd line center TOO. Cats need to make a push now if they want to make playoffs. - fatty_mcmanboobs

Brassard never quite fit. Sheahan played well but wasn’t going to be the 3C. Neither were going to be back. The picks are crap shoots. And one was an extra.
Hoping that the new guys can find some footing here, but they come with term and not at an increase.
We will see. |

Bjugstad is made of glass, and can't use his size or speed. Can't believe we got anything more than a 3rd or 4th round pick for him, honestly. McCann will never be more than a 3rd liner. Great move by the Panthers. - gstclairinc
People think 3rd liners are a bad thing. They aren’t. You need 4 lines in the playoffs. |

The picks dont matter at all with them having a 2 or 3 year window left. The Pens got younger with 2 guys with term beyond this year. |

Where were your sources on this one Ek?! It’s almost as if you don’t actually have any sources?! - iknowbest
Pretty obvious: I will ALSO be back this afternoon with a Canadiens’ rumor that is almost too “out there” to report at this point. More soon...
How could any of us predict that it was so out there that it involved two completely different teams? |

He doesn't, never has. He follows twitter and other social media outlets and takes info from there and passes it as it came thru sources...
Everyone knows he's a fraud but we come on here for amusement and to talk Hockey with other fans that's all |

Agreed and FLA probably flips Brassard and Sheahan for a 2nd and 4th on top of the other 3 picks. Nice Haul! |
