Not sure if it was ever discussed here but I wonder if Vegas has any interest in Brassard as they're already paying part of his salary...

He was drafted by them, seems plausible.

lol What a mess that was. And then the dude refused to sign with them so he could be around them during their cup run.

Okay, okay, his FATHER told him not to sign with the Hurricanes. Probably because he wanted a house somewhere bigger than Raleigh.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that they're not allowed to trade for him because they technically traded him and retained the salary. Don't know if this is true.

They probably would have got Johnson onto the roster for a game just so he could have his name on the cup and get a ring.

Instead he got traded to L.A. for Tim Gleason and Eric Belanger.

Would love to see VGK waste more assets they were able to get via expansion.

Dude was an absolute beast. Not a great skater or puck handler or anything, but positionally sound and mean as hell.

Just saw Tort's press conference from the other day. Dude looks like he's ready for a straight jacket again. female doging about only having one center. I wonder if we could get a nice return for Brass. The question is... should we? He'd probably find his game in the playoffs. No doubt he'd love the chance.

Just package Brass with what we can for Panarin lol. Man I'd love to have Panarin but there's like a 1 percent chance.

The blue jackets collapse is coming soon without them ever being more than an above average team.

My ask would definitely be higher, but I would trade them Brass. Yeah.... They would never trade us bread man. Could you imagine the reaction in Cbus if they did?

Brass a 1st and Addison/Hallander seems reasonable

Think he is suggesting trading Simon and Brass for a 2LW and a 3C somehow.

If any deals happen between these two clubs, I imagine it will take a 3rd team. Torts absolutely hates the Pens and Rutherford's big mouth made it worse.

I could never see Cbus handing us a player like Panarin. There's still a good chance they'll play again in the spring.

I'd ask for the Jackets 1st for Brass however. They're guaranteed to recoup a 1st+ for Panarin.

So, by these calculations, teams looking to acquire Schenn should see a player just not getting the bounces per se, so they should take advantage of the Blues and "buy-low". But if other teams can pick up on it, but why wouldn't the Blues?  That's flawed logic. It's not like other teams can see something St. Louis doesn't.
- usmcaaron

This assumes everyone has perfect knowledge which is disproven by years and years of GMs across all major sports selling low and buying high on players. Each league has about three GMs that are with or ahead of the times and then a bunch of dudes stuck in their ways that have highly flawed player evaluations.

That being said, given how good Schenn was last year I’m not sure he’s gonna get bought super low. I think there’ll be a bidding war.

I dig them.

EDIT: However, I wish they never played an outdoor game again.
