Kane resigning (already did) if STL gets a top 10 pick(could go wither way), they can opt out. it's either two or three, but it's three until StL can/decides to keep it on draft day. for example, today its #12 so Buffalo would get it.

Oh no, but has that type of potential which is rare. 31 teams would line up for a guy like that. Kane's a first ballot, Johnny top 10 scorer, Keller is pretty lights out. I mean it is just very good looking trajectory, no getting around it.

I have no idea who was feeding Kane and Kessel the puck back then nor do I intend to research it . I don't know who Hughes's line mates are this year but I know Tkachuk and Wahlstrom were playing with him last year. I do know his production this year is down quite a bit . Almost half.

Don't feel sorry for McDavid, he just turned 22 last week and he already has an Art Ross X 2, Ted Lindsay X 2 and a Hart Trophy. If they get competent management by the time he's 26 they could be winning again. He's got a long career ahead of him.

Just as a comparison, Mario Lemieux was in his seventh season, age 25, when he won his first Cup. He also had two Art Ross Trophies, two Lester B Pearson's and a Hart Trophy.

We're trading our 1st for some defensive depth, it's really our only weak point. We've got them three all star forwards, the two best elite 4th lines in the league and top 10 goaltending. With one more true top 4 RHD we should be conference champion favorites. I wouldn't go so far as to say we'd be better then Tampa, but with a player like muzzin we'd be close.

What's one crappy top 5 pick in a historically poor draft compared to the experience of winning a Stanley cup!

Hughes can come be our black ace and drive the PP deep, right through to the silver chalice!
