You think Hughes is as good as Matthews and Kane? Agree to disagree on this one. He has a lot to prove before being close to their level. He is trending negatively and I still question him being the top pick. But yes I know, the top 7 guys are all generational - CanuckDon

You keep thinking that - VANTEL
It's just statistical fact, he's had more points than Kane. Only Matthews has scored more. |

I am calling it now weak only because people are ridiculously saying tank. I still feel feel the same . We will get a complimentary player.
I AM TROLLING THE TROLLS
What I don't understand is why you care so much about how I feel. You do know I am married right? - VANTEL
Just talking hockey, but your mind works in interesting ways. Sorry, I don't swing that way but I'm sure that there are other places where older married guys can find a match. There's an app for I'm sure, best of luck! |

Very similar, I'm not sure he plays center but that's what people said about Point too. |

Have you tried talking to her? If not, maybe she doesn't have what you're looking for. You're slagging Hughes, I'm responding. If other slag Hughes, I will respond. I prefer to talk hockey, but hope things get better with your wife. |

They said Kane was too small and not strong enough in his rookie year also. 72 points in 82 games.
Jack is also 6-8 months younger then both of them in draft years. Both played their first season as badically 19 year olds. |

Yup I surely slagged him by saying he is a good player . I guess people get upset when you don't think he is generational

USHL seems kind of hard to track, but at the WJC they were saying only Matthews has had more points. Pretty impressive considering some of the talent been coming through there. I think he will be a leader on his team, Point/Kane/Johhny seem to be the comparisons. That's a pretty dam good player to get IMO. |

Don't think anyone has said he's generational, but if you're going to point out stats that make him look bad I'll point out stats that make him look good
1 Auston Matthews 2014-15 117
2 Jack Hughes 2017-18 116
3 Clayton Keller 2015-16 107
4 Patrick Kane 2005-06 102
5 Phil Kessel 2004-05 98
Not bad company. |

Today it would be 13th. Look at the schedule, are we going up or down from there? |

1st round playoff exit guaranteed. Pom poms.
The pick we get from the islanders is probably worthless though |

Reading this gives me deja vu, wasn't all this discussed on a Monday or Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, (frank) I'm confused. |

I have no idea who was feeding Kane and Kessel the puck back then nor do I intend to research it . I don't know who Hughes's line mates are this year but I know Tkachuk and Wahlstrom were playing with him last year. I do know his production this year is down quite a bit . Almost half.
If you want to think he is a game changer knock yourself out. |

Oh no, but has that type of potential which is rare. 31 teams would line up for a guy like that. Kane's a first ballot, Johnny top 10 scorer, Keller is pretty lights out. I mean it is just very good looking trajectory, no getting around it. |

Most assists in USDL history was Hughes last year. I do choose to think that, but to each their own! |
