I sure hear a lot of complaining on Twitter about his 2 in 20 . I hope the temp drops in WPG to -40 - VANTEL
There's your first mistake.
I've had an ongoing debate with friend about Laine. Great/ fantastic goal scorer but unless he is paired with a defensively responsible playmaking centre. It's going to take him a long time to figure out the game. No different then Ovechkin. Who even has Backstrom.
I like Kyle Connor over Laine.
I wish Van to draft the next version of Kyle Connor. I haven't heard of a speed demon with great hands in this draft though. Talk of Beecher being a great skater but his number don't reflect the hands. |

Laine needs a pure setup man and to get his looks on the PP. Winnipeg has Little as a second line center, they need help there! |

Maybe it's a weak draft
Nobody with great speed and great hands. Not even in the top 3? Shocking |

1/3 of his points are PP points. They do need a 2nd line center. They went out and got Stastny last season and tried to re-sign him in the off season.
Kevin Hayes could be a fit there. Pricey but got a good enough team to win a cup.
I just looked at some stats. Alex Wennberg has 1 goal this season. Poor Torts. |

Most good players get around 1/3 of their points on the PP, Crosby has 1174 points, 427 (36%) of them are on the PP. Henrik Sedin had 1070 points, 369 (34%) of them on the PP. A shooter, like Laine, Ovechkin has 1179 points, 452 (38%) on the PP.
I think Jeff Carter would be good for them, although he's a shooter not a setup guy. |

Flyers are piling up the wins, they're losing their chance at a nice draft spot in a good draft |

He has won a couple cups and he did help the other two parts of the 70s line have their best seasons. Signed for so many more years though. |

If Benning didn't have Eriksson, Gagner, Sutter and Beagle on the books it'd sure be nice to take a run at a major UFA considering how well Pettersson's played this year.

But... they keep telling me that cap won't be a problem. |

Add another $2.5m for Lu retiring. |

So how many trades will Benning make in the next 26 days? I'm going with 2. |

And their next 3 games are against Edm, Van & LA, they'll be in the playoffs in no time.

Hopefully gets rid of Gudbranson and Sutter, I'd be happy with that!! |

Potentially yes, they only have 9 forwards, 4 dmen and 1 goaltender signed for next year. If they sign Edler to 6 million a year, Boeser to 6 million and year, and get all their RFA's signed, there's only so much room left for a 10 million dollar UFA forward and a 5 million dollar defenseman, two things they really need.
**runs to crunch numbers lol**
You're right, if they move a contract like Sutter or Gudbranson it shouldn't be an issue. |

Granlund, Sutter, Schaller, Gudbranson and it's a above average TDL for JB. First's plus for Edler and Tanev would be spectacular. |
