If Edler really wants to stay he needs to sign a deal that doesn’t hurt the cap over those 3 years. - thundachunk
Agree, I'm not sure what that looks like, maybe six million over three years. |

I am sure Hughes will help . Do you personally think though Hughes can play 25 min a night against the leagues best forwards next year? Is that fair to him?
They are close with some prospects but to come in with Hutton Hughes and OJ as you left side and trading Tanev sounds more like a recipe for disaster than a fix. - VANTEL
I am sure Hughes would love big minutes. As for fair to him? I don’t think it would be fair to the team. |

I didn’t literally mean Hughes takes Edlers role and mins this season or next.
Also don’t see both OJ and Hughes playing as rookies the same year (either/or).

I bet the team next year brings back Edler on a three year deal , Hutton on a one or two year deal and Hughes . Then they bring in OJ sometime next year with injury or TDL.
That to me seems more of a normal slow transition.
I think Gudbrandson will be the man moved this year. |

I agree Edler unlikely to be moved but , No way. Not Guddy!
Pouliot is the one moved this year.

I like Gudbransen. I know I’m the minority. However moving him might make the most sense. |

I hope so. Goldobin, too. |

I think Pouliot will be let go . I doubt anyone will trade for him. I could be wrong ( I put this in so Lefty would not have hurt feelings about my writing style )
I have a hunch Guddy will be moved before the start of next year. |

While that would be awesome. I would say they 10.2 million over those 3. |

I would like to see an upgrade on the second pairing on D . I hope they go for Fabbro or Hamilton or someone

Pouliot would be a perfect fit in a Torts locker room. |

I agree with that. It would keep the 3rd pair off the ice more and make them less of a liability. Green puts out that 3rd pair way to much. |

If Edler stays, I’d like Tanev to be moved in the off-season. |

Turns out attempts at show casing Pouliot backfired. 😆 |

If you move Tanev I hope it is for a ready now player. I don't want a big hole on the right side for 3-4 years while Woo develops.

Keep reading Van linked to Burakovsky (sp) — and Washington wanting a depth/experienced forward back. Sutter for Burakovsky? |

We trying to get rid of the Ruskies.

You do it with everyone, not just me. I'm just sticking to hockey from now on. On that note.
I don't see them trading Edler, his contributions are too hard to replace. - LeftCoaster
You have called Benning an idiot for the last five years .
You called Booner stupid with a 6 grade education last night
And you call people 5'8 short halflings
And you want me to be more sensitive about my writing style . Only on HockeyBuzz folks , only here . |

Maybe if we had some good quality Russians they’d be worth keeping 🤪 |

Man oh man, what a gong show it is in here. It used to be nice to come in and talk hockey, have civilized conversations no matter what side of the fence you were on. People used to respect each other and their opinions. - Pacificgem
This simply isn’t true. Like saying beer was better before all these craft brewers started making things confusing or cars used to be so much better when you were either a Ford guy or a Chevy guy. |

You mean $18m right, because you are not getting him to sign for $2 per season |

Yes sorry that's what I meant, I just didn't explain it well. 6-6-6 = 18 million |
