Before he was injured, it was thought that Crawford might have been a fit in Philly.

Turns out Carter Hart might be ready. Just won his 5 straight tonight.

The Hawks had two scouts at the Bruins and Flyers game back on January 16th also. They have there eyes somebody from one of those teams.

Can't remember which threads specifically, but it was mentioned several times they had scouts at Bos. I don't remember when or how many.

Yeah, rumor was Philly was looking at Crawford as a stopgap before the concussion. Looks like they are looking/willing to move Voracek and the fans are even pushing for JVR after they just signed him (and he's been injured a bit this year). Gudas will probably be moved at TDL and they're still trying to dump the McDonald contract.

Now they're throwing Ghost's name out there as "available". I feel he's similar to Gustafson but slightly/moderately better on D....but not sure if he's a #1-2 Dman. The scary thing is if Gustafson continues to get his points this year and next, even with his bad D....he'll probably get similar contract around $4-$4.5 a year.

Strangely a lefty in hockey is typically right handed, plays golf on the right and bats right in baseball.

The 2019 class looks better with the likes of Panarin, Stone, Duchense, Karlsson and Skinner.

The 2020 class includes Backstrom from the Caps, Hall from NJ and Nugent-Hopkins from EDM.

I was thinking the Hawks would not make a big splash this summer on the big names, but maybe they would. To me, slim pickings in 2020. Or am I missing someone?

If they don't go big into free agency, they'll have to depend on top 9 forward or top 4 defense improvement via the draft, existing prospects, trades, or under the radar Euro FA signings.

2020 class is pretty interesting to me.

There are some names on there that would be mighty nice fits with the 'Hawks, like Kreider, Dadonov, Granlund, B. Schenn, Toffoli, Coyle. They're all enticing forward options who shouldn't break the bank. One or two of those guys added to next year's lineup makes for a really enticing 2020-2021 team.

I think defense will be addressed/prioritized this offseason instead.

In medical jargon, AS means left ear, OS means left eye vs OD and AD for right ear and eye. I always remembered it by thinking left handed people were sinister.
