then you dont know hockey....kap is a difference maker. And theres a reason every gm wanted him in an exchange for top 4 defense men for the leafs....sabres fans im gonna take a little break in hating your team for a minute and tell ya the truth....you should be ahead of the leafs in your rebuild but you weren't paitient enough and you tried to jump start it with all those trades a few years back. And NOW your wanting that all again? Im mean thats beautiful if your me a leafs fan. But jeseus im getting frustrated reading some of your stuff on here. You think you d be encouraged by what your team was doing in the early part of the season. Well coached. Draft well and develop. Either that or keep chasing your tails which im fine with. Smarten up. Im starting to find it hard hating all of you. Lol and theres no fun in that.

Im going to really light the firecracker...

This whole 2nd line center is Botts fault... we had a 2nd line center here last year (he was in the all-star game by the way) Im not even getting into the reasons why he was traded, fine he want to move him, okay. Whats the plan to replace him, This is where he failed MISERABLY.

Botts traded him, and NONE of the players he A) brought in or B) players he expected to step up did. That's a failure on his part, and nobody can really defend that because we are all talking about a 2nd line center need.

Carter Hutton will be in the crease Tuesday night against Columbus.

Hutton has gone 1-6-2 in his last nine appearances, while posting a save percentage of .895 during that span. The 33-year-old netminder has a 14-14-3 record this season with a 2.75 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.

oh joy

And, this, by letting the GM do his job.

I think some people are forgetting that we're most likely going to have one of the top defenseman in the entire league on our roster.

this is all very true. I hated that we had to trade him... He had to go but man did that leave a huge franking hole in the offense.

Who cares who's fault it is.

He knows we need a center.

Trading away 3 1st round picks for a 2nd line center is ludicrous. Actually, it's beyond ludicrous.

- Powerslave

I didn't say to trade 3 first round picks... and if we are only getting our CORE players though the draft, it will take at least 5 more years of drafting

And i got crushed when i ripped the trade saying that Berglund & Sobotka were Cap dumps

Also ripped when i said Mitts might not be a stud right away

You’re totally right...
Botts’ plan for 2C this season was tremendously risky,
And worked out to be a total bust

Well, some on here are ready to trade our entire draft for one player.

And no one said we are only getting our core players through the draft. Where are you getting this from?

Yeah, make a (frank)ing trade. Heck, make 5. But we're cutting our own throat trading away 3 firsts.

not if they are 5 good trades...

you are pigeon holing what we are saying the same as we are doing it to you.
you - don't trade the fist round picks
us - trade them

the actual implied {I would assume for both) is do whatever we have to do to make this roster better as soon as possible. not doing anything (up to this point in the season) is VERY frustrating.... Waiting to develop mid first round picks will be very Frustrating. That all any of us are saying, there MUST be a balance of what we can do (Now as well as picks to develop).

Opinions vary regarding "screwing the pooch" by trading O'Reilly.

Why don't you let the man, you know, the guy that's been on the job for a year and a half, finish what he started?
