5-1-1 in the ECHL is good awful? Right.
- sabresfan69

Her career save percentage is .836

Also the ECHL back them was a complete joke of a league. They didn't have NHL affiliates.

But hey I am the one that was conned.

So the woman doesn't deserve the money? Sorry what? Are you saying the men are greedy? Nothing could be worked out?

Wow, just wow.

- sabresfan69

Until there is a women's league under the NHL umbrella with unions and labor laws yeah I would say you cannot pay a player that isn't apart of the union.

I am sure they could work something out but they would have to get union approval a head of time.

Like I said rudimentary

Do a little research bud. Plenty of people disagree with you and feel women should have played in the all-star game.

I remember Manon Rheaume

Far more impressive than what any woman did in an NHL All-star competition.

Complete gimmick. The NHL used her for ratings.

- sabresfan69

Let's put it this way, in a skills competition of ball placement and trick shots, etc., Serena Williams would be just as impressive as Roger Federer. In a mixed doubles match, it's entertaining to watch. Of course Williams wouldn't beat Fed 1-on-1, but they're both skilled. The women held their own with the guys at the all-star game.

Idk exactly what you're arguing. If you want to see them play with the men in an all star game, then I would say I do too. Mixed teams would be entertaining

Go back to yesterday

I said she should have played.

I said they should have put a woman on each team and played 4 on 4

It's not like they throw body checks in the All Star game.

You're talking yourself in circles.

You're just arguing to argue at this point.

You mean all-star skills competition not game.

I would love to see women play in the game. I think you people have me all wrong.

Its not about women aren't as good as men. Its about using her for ratings and

keeping her safe in a bubble.

For a game that is 3 on 3 each team should play 4 on 4 with one of those 4 being a Woman.

A team with all women would get beat by a team of all men with or without checking. But since this is an exhibition and nobody cares put 2 women on each team.

You are right we are going in circles....You also prove my point that she was a gimmick or they would have let her play.....irrelevant of money or contracts. It could have been worked out. The NHL and NHLPA didn't let her play in the ALL-Star game and to me that is the problem.

We can turn the page.

You got conned because you should be unhappy with what happened. Great she got to skate around and pass some pucks.

The NHL did it for ratings that is my opinion or there would have been more women and they would have been playing in the game.

Like I said from the beginning. EQUALITY.

It shouldn't be 3 men and 1 woman that is ridiculous. That is favoritism.

Sorry I thought we moved passed the token black guy allowed to play baseball mentality.

2019 those things shouldn't happen anymore.

I guess its baby steps still. Got it. I am living in the 50s though.

We should JUST be happy a woman was there.

Sorry for believing different.

favoritism: "the practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another."

How is pairing 1 woman with a group of men giving women "preferential treatment at the expense of men"?

First off you just made a statement where a woman got a spot over a man when there are plenty of men in the NHL that are better than her that deserve the spot over her so by your definition She was gifted it. Thats a fact by your definition.

If they want equality then vote for men and women. Have spots for both players based on votes and the same amount of players from both sides and play the damn game.

You are giving that woman that spot just to have a woman on that line. That is sexist

My bad for seeing it for what it is. Yes I am still stuck in the 50s. You people are the ones clamoring for this woman like it is some sort of milestone when it is 2019.

i enjoy this statement.. the whole All-Star game is a spectacle to get ratings. I honestly had no problem with the lady or ladies being there. I thought it was cool to see that they can keep up and thrive in a skills competition

i was annoyed by the fact that whoever the one girl was that won her group didn't get the prize money.. that part pisses me off

Your whole statement wreaks of token woman and sexism. I am sorry I guess its just too difficult for you people not to be sexist.

I will just close my eyes next year and just be happy so girls are skating around at a skills competition.

If you don't get it you never will.

you are literally thinking too deep into it... which means it is striking some nerve.

speaking for myself, i think its great for hockey and for young girls that want to pursue playing hockey. that's how the game grows man.

being upset about something you can't control and doesn't affect you personally, or the game of hockey, is the old school mindset.

No, I think it would be awesome to see 15 men and 15 women in the ALL-Star game.

That would be incredible to watch but I guess we should be thankful they let that one lady skate around.

Its your statement that I am stuck in the 50s with old school mentality because I think women should play in the all star game and not just skills.

I just wanted you to explain your reasoning behind that.

Clear your mind of being a man and look at it from a neutral prospective.
