This is a weird thread...Tom and MDW actually teaming up and agreeing - TPC
Don't say I never did anything for MDW or that goofball Kevin Hayes. |

I will say one thing...I guarantee Hayes will net back more than just a 2nd rounder in a trade.
Yea fairly confident on that - TPC
I agree. Most likely somewhere along the lines of a 2nd and 6th. |

No no no. We will be lucky to get a 2nd, most likely a third. He is an average 3rd line center, who amazingly puts up 2nd line center points and can match up against a teams best line. |

Gentlemen, out for the Sabbath soon. I appreciate the civil discourse, despite the disagreements. One more month and all this will be answered. As a reminder, please also add in your Zucc proposals... |

But not really. Hayes might make more than Bergeron on his deal. The Bruins, outisde of Backes have done a nice job with their salary cap. |

haha There should be a buffer blog between trade proposals. The people need to know where the players stack up compared to Hanzal!!

To be a light version of a player they would have to be worse. Hayes is much better than Malholtra in any aspect of the game except face offs.
Hayes already has 2/3's of the points Malholtra had in a third as many games. He will pass him in a season or two.

Obviously I don't think he is Bergeron. But a light version, sure. He does play solid in a shut down role against other teams top guys. And he has still managed to produce at a solid rate getting harder minutes. Bergeron also benefits from having some elite wingers over his tenure in Boston.

Bergeron lost a faceoff to Zuccarello. Don't think Hayes would ever let that happen.
