Why not use existing technology to help the officiating?

Look, sports fans are by nature whiny bee-yotches. They piss and moan when something doesn't go their way, regardless of the actual facts.

There isn't a single Habs fan complaining this morning about the video replay rule.

So the league has a choice: occasionally have one team's fans upset about getting a goal called back due to the correct call, or have the other team's fans upset about having a goal allowed that shouldn't, due to a missed call.

It's a no-brainer.

Exactly as I expected. I made some long-shot arguments to the judge that he was clearly annoyed by and ultimately ignored.

The prosecutor hands you a certificate that the camera was checked by some tech in another state and is in good working order. I asked the judge if I was able to obtain performance review and quality assessments for the tech that certified the camera so that I know they were a competent employee.

how about just making it on-side if a player has his skate in the air over the blueline?

those are easily the most irritating goal reversals because a guy's teammate had a skate in the air 100 feet away who had nothing to do with the play that ultimately led to a goal

Cantiague is right around the corner from my office. Worst rink on LI. I had a crossover beer league game there years ago and after the game I got all set to shower only to find that....there were no showers. That was fun.
