Peter Chiarelli was fired during the second intermission of last night's game, according to Bob Nicholson. Wanted to give him a chance to leave the building quietly.

You'd think they could have accomplished the same thing by firing BEFORE the game.

Also, he probably had a few hecklers while he still had the job anyway, with everything he's "accomplished" |

Dave Morissette.
Played a whole 11 games with the Habs as a bad enforcer. |

"Galchenyuk Returns... Does Anyone Still Care?" - Brandon Smillie
I sure don't ... I much prefer Domi's speed because his style is better suited to today's NHL (fast pace). I also like his desire and effort level much more.
While Chucky is a great stick handler, he can't go around NHL defensemen as he did when he was in the juniors because he lacks the foot speed. His effectiveness is thus greatly reduced and he ends up losing the puck most of the time.
I also seriously question his hockey sense (or lack of) ... because he can't/won't backcheck he then becomes a liability on the ice. I won't even mention his rumored off-ice antics.
No, I don't miss him at all ... that was an excellent trade by Bergevin. |

Same here ... in our defense, he was rather forgettable. |

He hasn't been lighting it up in MTL for a bit either. But he brings more than just scoring and moments of insanity. |

No, but in retrospect, it's kind of odd that he was doing so poorly, and now looks like a completely different player in Montreal. Luck can do that, right?
But seriously though, maybe there was something going on off the ice, or it just simply wasn't clicking with the Yotes |

Mike Johnson was saying on the Sens/Yotes broadcast yesterday, that not everyone can play well there. It's the opposite of playing with pressure in MTL or TO. Some players, and it appears Domi is one of them, need the pressure to motivate them. |

Makes sense. And good for the habs if Domi can handle the pressure and even thrive under it, since Montreal is the mecca of freaking out over hockey players |

I would agree ... playing in a non-traditional hockey market in front of empty stands can't be too motivating for some players.
Add the fact that they were also losing games day in day out in relative obscurity in the desert ... |
