I could definitely see the Ducks moving Montour out for more offensive help but Murray is pretty shrewd. He trades from a place of strength. If he’s moving a quality, young defender then he’s going to want quality in return. They already have Getzy, Henrique, and Kesler so I don’t see them being interested in Brass one bit. Rust is the exact type of forward they love to get. I could see them taking on hornqvist potentially but the price would have to be right for them to take on an older player I would expect the Ducks to quietly be in on Karlsson and Panarin this offseason. If they somehow land Karlsson they would just move out another defender to a team like the Leafs

The blogger stated they want to get younger and faster which seems odd me if they want to move a 24yr old RD blue liner. If this is the case, Manson would make more sense.

I did a double take on this too. RW was making a joke about his excessive contract virtually equals a no movement clause. Which is true. Gonna need to pay another team some form of compensation for them to take it.

Supposedly Brass willing to waive it anywhere.

The problem is even if the Penguins want to move him they would have to navigate his full no-movement clause (his contract).

This cant be true can it? I have never read it contained any sort of movement clause.

It was a joke that his no movement “clause” is his albatross terrible contract.

So if a liberal is a “lib,” would someone who used to be a conservative be an ex-con?

I dunno. It’s 2019. You can identify as whatever you want. I identify as a redwood tree.

TIOPS reporting discussions of a three-way between CAR and CBJ, sending Brass and a 1st, Brass eventually winding up on CBJ and the Pens winding up with Ferland and Riley Nash.

This makes me thow up in my mouth. If they think Riley Nash is a viable 3C option they haven’t left the same state of mind that landed them JJ.

Its TIOPS so who cares but lets entertain this for a quick second.

Ferland is good. Probably just a rental but we can definitely do with another LW and Hornqvist insurance since he gets hurt semi-frequently.

Nash is unspectacular, but he doesn't totally suck and has a reasonable cap hit. His shooting percentage is laugh out loud bad this season at like 2%, so given that his career shooting percentage is 10%, We can expect that he won't continue to produce this pooptily.

Unfortunately, if we're done with Brassard, I don't know that we can get anyone that much better than Riley Nash. This is the general ball park of quality that we're gonna be looking at given our limited assets. The fact that Ferland comes back in this deal makes me kinda like it.

Anaheim has always had its own internal budget. Being young also means cost controlled. Montour has been benched and scratched numerous times by carlyle for his defensive woes. They also love Manson. Murray has always been patient like Poile. I wouldn’t expect much unless there’s a huge need. At this point in the season, I don’t think there’s a good enough reason until you get a new coach

Interesting perspective. I also agree on Nash -- but Ferlund could be worth it.

Ferland all day, but Nash is no better than Grant. Sheahan would be a much better option than Nash.

According to who?

I also could of swore that GMJR made comments kind of saying he probably wouldn't be trading him, that the media were the culprits of this talk.

Probably. He’s a liberal hippy that listens to Phish in his safe space. You don’t seem like the type to enjoy kickin it with libs.
- j.boyd919

I’ve been to over 100 music festivals people describe as hippie fests. I just like the atmosphere. I don’t believe in any government but most people I associate with are pro more liberal. I like hunting and fishing. I just don’t like wussy hockey. I’ve been to museums, still don’t like wussy hockey.

If the Pens got Ferland I would be a happy camper. But your right, Riley Nash is overrated. Much more comfortable if Sheahan were to shift over and take the 4C role.

Yeah, I read that was well, so who knows. I don’t remember the source for waiving. I think it was Dreger or someone like that.

You remind me of a buddy of mine out by Hidden Valley, except he’s too drunk and uncoordinated to ever play hockey.

No but while I was in college he came to visit and go fishing and he ate 10 habanero peppers and a whole container of living earth worms when he got drunk. Needless to say he had some fiery volcano squirts the next morning. We didn’t make it fishing.

I don’t remember where but I also remember hearing that Brass would waive to go anywhere but he prefers another playoff team.
I think it was either Friedman or LeBrun that said Rutherford is on record saying that Brassard’s days are numbered

Hahahah yeah it was gross. But hearing the cries of agony ring through the dorm halls the next morning was hysterical.
