Connor's fault. He wanted to play with Lucic. - bixll
Connor's a greedy mofo... Why can't he be happy playing with Lucic? Dangit.. Matthews played with Brown and Johnsson, and he seemed happy(ish) |

And the second pick that went along with it was Anthony Beauvillier - RickJames77
Too soon, I think.. I mean, for all we know, Griffin Reinhart could still turn out to be the next Stuart Percy |

I don't think this is true - that was a Ranger pick, sent to Tampa, then sent to the Islanders, according to hockeydb:

It was the #33 pick - flipped to Tampa.
Tampa selected Mitchell Stephens of the Saginaw Spirit. |

So it's indirect.
Rangers trade #28 pick to Tampa.
Tampa then trades #28 pick to Islanders for #33 pick and #72 pick (seems like a pretty stupid move by Stevie Y).

That depends.. If Bracco's AHL success can translate to the NHL. If so, it's a steal for us. |

I get the feeling we are going to see Bracco with the big club next year - regardless of whether he's an NHLer or not.
We are going to need to fill out the roster with some entry-level salaries. |

Tampa got Cirelli out of it.
Acquired from Tampa Bay for round 2 pick in the 2015 draft (Mitchell Stephens) and round 3 pick in the 2015 draft (Anthony Cirelli). Pick previously acquired by Tampa Bay from NY Rangers with Ryan Callahan, round 1 pick in the 2014 draft (Josh Ho-Sang) and round 7 pick in the 2015 draft (Ziyat Paigin) for Martin St. Louis and round 2 pick in the 2015 draft (Oliver Kylington). |

Bracco might have to be Nylander's replacement.. If Matthews get 12.5M and Marner gets $11M like they were projecting on TSN radio this morning |

IIRC, he struggled in Orlando as well. Maybe we can trade him to Edmont....Oh crap, they fired Chiarelli.... |

They should look on the bright side... no, not that Chia was fired...
"They canned a head coach, the GM is on the firing line, they're 12th in the West and just lost at home to the last place team in the NHL. And (I am not making this up) statistically this is the Edmonton Oilers fourth best season in the last 13 years." |

That's high for both imo, we are just going to price ourselves out of being able to have any depth.
Oh well.

It's similar to kapanen. He pretty much was a 30 goal scorer in the ahl ( think he had 30 in 60ish games) so you could see he could be a nhl scorer. I think bracco could be a poor man's marner...good passer |

You think Chiarelli was apart of that contract? I mean, if they were gonna poopcan him, why would they let him give out that terrible contract?
It's a pretty awful looking contract, so I can fully believe that Chiarelli was the one to do it, but why would the Oilers allow it? Makes no sense to me. |

The right manager can change an organizations fortunes, we'll see if that happens. Leafs were a poor franchise until Shannhan took over, some luck helped but at least the Leafs are competitive now. No defense other than Rielly, but competitive. - LeftCoaster

Hey man im hoping he is. We are gonna need cheap talent for next couple of years.
If bracco can turn into a 50pt guy in the nhl, then great. |
