I love how crazy people get when slumps happen.
I just met a guy at work today who said the Leafs should trade away guys for picks this year. Like huh? - Santo_44

I'm okay with that. Don't wanna trade Hamilton anyway.
Faulk, Ferland and a 1st for Nylander and Liljewhatever. - BINGO!
I don’t see Nylander getting traded...for at least a few years.
They could get Johnnson a 1st plus whatever depending on who it is.
Johnnson is a legit talent.
Then the Canes have two firsts and two seconds next draft. Trade a 1st and a 2nd or two firsts for a JT Miller or Palat. TB likely will have to cut someone for signing Point.
Then they got
Nino-Aho-Teuravainen
Johnnson-Staal-Miller
Svechnikov-Wallmark-Williams
For next year. That isn’t bad.

Let's just get this (frank)ing done already. - BINGO!
Deal, Freddy the GOAT and a 4th for Brett Pesce |

I don't know if Carolina wants draft picks in return. I think they want immediate help. From what I've read Dundon seems to want this team to be in a "win-now" mode.

Yeah and the Leafs have wanted a top 4 d for 3 years now.

Don't want picks. Want a guy with term who can play in a top 6 role right now and going forward. We're looking at cost controlled forwards because Aho is going to need a raise right away and when the puck starts going in for Svechnikov he's going to be ridiculously good/expensive.

Carolina is 7 points out of a playoff spot. If they miss the playoffs, we have a potential lottery pick |

Probably because there's actual consequences if one of them (frank)s up. |

Why fire Dubas? Chiapet is a perfect special advisor to the janitorial staff. |

Who cares. If one gets fired, Chiarelli can step in right away.
Then, you'll give us Hamilton for Zaitsev |

Who’s giving a top 6 forward away for Pesce or Faulk?
There isn’t any options I can think of.
Brendan Saad is about all I can think of. Any other team isn’t going to want to trade a 22 year top 6 old for Faulk or Pesce. |

We're probably not making the playoffs but a 13th overall pick is not all that helpful at this point either when we've got a ton of AHL guys ready to step up. |
