Yeah but I think he is a concussion or 2 away from the ending his career.

that's the thing...he has about 25M on the line here...not saying he's gonna float but I can't see a repeat of the Canucks series should he be traded to a playoff team

Problem is that that was also Carolina last year. And the year before that. And the year before that.

From a pure strategy standpoint, the guy is a goddamned genius.

Pretty much a great spy. Got all you expendable assets out for Dougie.

Is he really on the block?

Sadly Ferland is not long for the league. Great player with too much damage. It's amazing Cam Neely lasted so long.

Neely was a monster! My favorite player when I was growing up.

Doggie was by far the best Player for Carolina last night. I wonder if it’s just everyone else already meshes and they have enough D to let one of them go. Doggie is just the odd man out again.

What it is is that they desperately need help up front, and they've been trying since the draft to trade Faulk in a package to get it and nobody has bit yet.

Hell, they didn't give Dougie his number for like a month and a half because they were so sure that 27 was gonna be available for him.

So now they're like "okay, we still prefer to trade Faulk, but if Dougie is what it takes to land Mark Stone or Duchene or somebody on that level, then I guess we have to do it."

Issue there is that he's been legit great for Svechnikov and has been kind of a mentor for the kid. He's the only one on the team who knows what it's like to have a ton of expectations so young.

So let me get this straight, apparently the Koskinen signing took something like 3 days, and THEN the Oilers fire Chiarelli?!?

That organization is a straight up disaster that can't get out of their own way it seems. Hopefully this turns the tide for them a bit and they get someone in there that is competent...

What a cluster(frank).

They need to fire Kevin Lowe and Craig MacTavish in the worst way possible but they never will.

I must say I really like this Hurricane team, young, big fast skilled. Just missing a piece that brings it all together. They deserved to win last night, not that I think we brought our A game but how is this Canes team not a top 3 in their division???

Can't score.

Just... unbelievably bad luck. You saw how many crazy saves Rittich made last night. That's been happening every night for us for like two years now.

That and too many flubs from guys like Williams leading to odd man rushes the other way.
