he came back with same D and Marky Nilsson - that screams stealth tank. We just lucked out with Marky being better and petey doing petey things - anavar
Not that 'stealth', in my opinion. |

If Benning stays at the bottom this year he will more than likely be out of a job. Thinking this team will tank is crazy talk this year. Do you think he wants on his resume bottom 5 every year when he looks for his next job? - VANTEL
Nah, Aquaman is all in on JB after he canned TL.
This team is improving because of good draft position. Even aquaman can figure that out. JB's strength (supposedly) is his ability to accurately assess prospects. Let him wield his power!
Release the Benning! |

You are entitled to your opinion but the teams sees themselves in the middle of a playoff battle and winning regularly with a fairly doable remainder of its schedule. Good luck with your tanking hopes

I agree. There does seem to be some elements of a tank in their strategy.
Reducing defensive depth and bringing in an unproven rookie goaltender mid season is curious too. Not to mention the suspicious nature of "injuries" to the team's most prolific scorers.
I'm realizing we are underestimating JBs shrewdness here. Are we witnessing a master tanker at work? |

I'd rather look at it as benefits of a poor season. Tank is just code for favorable draft position. You can't dispute the value of a high draft pick or a stocked prospect pool. Teams waste those picks all the time but it still does not reduce it's value (even if you use it as trade bait).
We know the injury bug will hit this team again. Goaltending can't continue at the same pace. We have players who are naturally streaky. Things can go south quickly and if it does I won't be upset or disappointed one bit.
Let me put it this way, I think a high draft pick will benefit this franchise far more than one round of playoff hockey in 2019. |

jb definitely has an eye to the future as well as the present
told ya's the stealth tank was real (seriously though it was more about having a large majority of young roster players with upside - it could always go either way. combined with a couple of vets that you can either retain or sell depending on your position) |

I was just being a bit sarcastic as 'tank' seems to be a trigger word now. |

I want a high draft pick damn it. I don't care if this is a weak draft, I want it. I don't have much confidence in JB but can't knock his drafting record. Love to see another young skilled prospect added to the mix. |

I see no problem with this. It would be like having Dan Hamhuis 2.0
I think Dan actually organized and ran prayer sessions for players and families. |

I wonder if Kesler ever went to any of those sessions, other than to check out wives. |
