.@DarrenDreger: I can tell you, the market for Micheal Ferland is high, it is strong. I think Jim Benning and #Canucks would love to get their hands on Ferland, either through trade or as a free agent because of what he brings. He can be a top-6 player, and he is tough as nails

Dreger barely has sources these days. I'm sure Benning has interest but of course Dreger's going to highlight the Canadian team with the most interest, caters to his audience.

Can’t imagine there is any chance we would make a trade offer. I still think we will be minor sellers even if we are in the mix for a playoff spot. Ferlund is worth kicking the tires on in the summer but he will get too much term. These are the types of players that you need to grow in-house

Trading for him would be stupid, only makes sense if Benning wants him so badly that he's paranoid that someone else will trade and sign him before he becomes a UFA.

I'd be open too adding him as a UFA for sure, but likely not for the contract he's going to get. He would look good next to EP.

I think this playoff thing should be not taken more than just go play the next game. It is nice that we are winning stay with the original plan. If they win they win but don't go after rentals

100%. There is no way the team goes after a rental. They haven’t lost sight of the fact the draft is here

As much as I make fun of Jimbo, I'm not worried at all about him trading for a rental just for the playoffs this year. If he did trade for Ferland, I'd 100% expect him to be re-signed.

Definitely he would have an extension. I really don't want Ferland personally. I would rather see what MacEwen can do or draft that type player. Too many risks with Ferland.

I like Ferland, he'd be nice next to EP but the issue with guys like him is that they fall off of a cliff once they lose a step. Plus giving big bucks to a guy who's more of an "elite 3rd wheel" is always a risk.

Honestly, Millennial is more of a state of mind. Hockeybuzz is the capital of the state.

Lefty does not want to trade for a player of Dougie Hamiltons stature because he says Canucks are not at that stage ready for this type of player , that we are years away. How many times in the summer was he saying go all in on Tavares
- VANTEL

Which is funny because he was also predicting just before the season that we are going to have one of the worse seasons in Canucks history.

I dont like the idea of trading for Hamilton either, something is not right there.
- neem55

I agree 100%. I get a standoffish feeling with him as well plus he looks like a wiener I want to knock out in Smithers.
