I'd like to get a shot at grabbing RNH or Puljujarvi while they are scrambling.

If they get more 80s Oiler's alumni running that org, it'll be sealed tight like a vault. They probably still think Hemsky is worth a first round pick.

Altogether, the Oilers do not have serious deficiencies on their team. I think they have a better core than two-thirds of the NHL. They just need a GM to fill it out. Sure, they need a legit offensive 1D but so does half the NHL.

If Keith Gretzky is indeed in line for the job, I pretty much expect the same results as they got with MacT and Lowe...
