Supposedly some teams asked about / were interested in Patrick

Patrick is good - saying teams would be interested in him isn't breaking news, and teams asking about him isn't either.

I'm not knocking you for the link, I'm knocking the "info" in the link

Multiple sources have said teams have been asking about acquiring Kasperi Kapanen from Toronto.

Therefore, Toronto is interested in trading Kasperi Kapenen.

Who's getting traded from Toronto will be interesting as the cap is going to smack them down soon.

Can players be traded during the bye week? If so, I'd expect this Weise situation to be resolved by the All Star Break

You’re good, I didn’t see it as it’s shocking teams are interested just more interesting that teams thought maybe Fletcher wasn’t as high on him or married to him since he didn’t draft him himself.

I read/hear this everywhere. Who on this team has Fletcher drafted?

If he trades Patrick he better know he got the better of the deal. Patrick is too young to be giving up on him.

No one obviously lol but I don’t hold this opinion. it was said and thrown around a bunch when he first got here that GMs like to “make their mark” to flex this is their team now, but I also don’t hold that opinion. The married quote came directly from Friedman on TSN though. I would be pissed off if we traded Patrick.

I don't see any team in a hurry to acquire Weise.

I don't either. There seems to be a lot of good kids coming up in addition to the ones already here. Let it play itself out. He's starting to get rid of the dead wood on the team. Supplement via trade and free agency.

It doesn't help that they sent the guy home, why would other teams be rushing to bring him in? I don't understand the move but I don't know all the details. Can it be worse then being part of a drug investigation?

If they can't practice I doubt players can be traded, but I really don't know.

I would think if a team wanted Weise it would be the least complicated talk ever, Flyers retain salary and team gives very little value. Flyers win by removing Weise and other team gets depth they wanted.

The longer it goes then one would assume that the other team wants more out of it, most likely the Flyers to take back a worse contract.

I don't know the details either but perhaps they feel he is a bad influence on the team. Otherwise why do what they're doing.

I think the first words there are obviously the key. My question is why at this point, with what a month to go before the deadline, would a team be in a hurry to add Weise? Working out the cost for the return and the retained salary is the easy part. A team actually wanting to trade for him isn't. Which is why I'm not sure why so many are so sure that a trade of Weise is going to happen quickly. I certainly could be wrong but I don't envision much of a market.

I don't...personally I would be absolutely shocked if the Flyers found a team to trade for him. I 100% expect Weise on the Flyers next year, whether that is his last year or through buyout.

News to make Flyer fans feel not so bad...

Edmonton signed Mikko Koskinen to an extension for 3 years @4.5M per.

27 games for the Oilers and 31 (4 games 10 years ago for NYI) NHL games. Just WOW.

Frost's 1.97 PPG is pretty awesome considering the era and competition.

Here's a list of the best PPG seasons in OHL history for comparison:

Miller Time this off season please !!!!!

Ryan Miller :
9.25% sv pct average last 2 years for the Ducks ... Ufa this summer. 2M cap hit last 2 years.

Tandem of Hart / Miller seems pretty sexy
