I hope they trade Murphy as well, he's really a 3rd pairing dman, anytime we face a team with speed he's a huge liability, he's in the same boat as Saad when it comes to dumb with the puck and dumb without it

This is exactly the opinion heading into the season. He has played well this season but in the end he is what you say he is. Because he has been better this year, some feel he justifies the trade. I just know that there will be a few prospects with speed, so eventually we will see how this speed factor works out.

If the defense is a strength for this team in two or more years after prospects have made an impact, then what you have is a veteran in Murphy whom might be a desirable piece for some teams that lack depth.

Lots of trajectory on this point but the facts all point to speed and ability to have one strong offensive dman in each pair. Oh how I want to see this day arrive.

'15 too. There defensive depth wasn't as great that year but forward depth was pretty damn good.

15 was nothing compared to those other two teams IMHO, Keith was basically two men in that playoffs because Kimo and Runsbad couldn't play.
