Caggiula, king of the keep-in. Great shift. I like him on the top line. |

Really liking Caggiula's ability to win some puck battles and extend ozone time on that last shift. |

Yep, that is what separates him from being just another “guy” - hopefully he can bring that consistently.
But I’m still going to call him Caligula - ‘cus I’m freaky naughty like that. |

Somewhere, Malcolm McDowell appreciates that. |

He’s such a buzz kill in his delivery - which is actually perfect for the WGN coverage for Hawks games. He and Dan Roan are brilliantly craptastic together. |

Wouldn’t the comp be 4 firsts for the likely offer?
That’s a lot of comp even for a Matthews. - StLBravesFan
If a team thinks Mathews makes them a real contender and at the top of the league for 5-8 years how valuable are 4 picks that wind up being 26th - 32nd overall every year? Especially if they have a solid farm system with good young players already in place.
Offer sheets don't happen - except if some team decides the player is well worth it or they really want to screw a team by forcing them to match.
That said, Mathews hasn't played very well in the last month or so. And I don't think he loves Babcock's coaching methods. |

Never saw it. Was looking on IMDB. Also features a young Helen Mirren. Love McDowell though in Clockwork Orange and other movies. |

I am with you 100% Rick. Growing up in Ontario and being around so many Leaf fans my whole life sucks. I get sick and tired of Leaf fans say that Mathews and Marner are going to do what's best for the team and take a cap friendly deal. Lol - scott.jackson
The Maple Leafs and their fans love themselves.
Marner won't be offering a discount - he has been their best player by a country mile this year. |

IIRC - there was a lot of controversy around the movie because it was initially rated X and they had to do a second edit to finally get an R rating. I’ve never actually seen the movie - but Caligula was historically famous for letting his freaky flag fly. |

Kane finishing his check, pay back. Great shift with 20-16-64. I like the chemistry those guys have.
Even though we're down 1, it was a good period against a good team. We weren't dominated. |

It is absolutely, wonderfully, spectacularly messed up. Haven't read the book but it's classic Kubrick. |

I understand what you are thinking for sure. It is a scary thing trading a young D or centre before you really see what you have. The D pipeline looks good, but you never know until they play some games in the show.
I am far from being a scout, but I really like what I have seen from Joki in the first half of his first season. - scott.jackson
I totally get what your saying too. I would be very hesitant to do the deal too but ya give to get. If your a package deal of Keith maybe they would consider taking Mitchell too so they could bring him along through their own pipeline. I'm just spit balling ideas out there for ways in which we could improve our defense (Saad for Peace) and then turning the excess of D-Man into a promising young forward |

Clockwork Orange is disturbing, but also a very good movie. I’d recommend it as it has so many cultural touchstones that were referenced to it in its wake. Kubrick did a great job with the source material. |

With adverbs like that....... Kubrick is good, even though King hates what he did with The Shining. I didn't know there was a book for C.O. |

Believe you're absolutely right on all that...your cinematic history and Caligula being an early alt life style proponent. Think his motto was "More everything!" |
