Co-worker said in 2000 he went to Kenora to train with Mike Richards another junior player. Said Mike ran hills in Kenora wearing chains. Co-worker said after two weeks of throwing up after every workout, he quit hockey. - manvanfan
So Marwood my friend, this is where i've been. I work for the railroad, on call most of the time and i have two daughters, aged 10 and 4. I went on vacation at the end of September and got a puppy upon my return.
I just don't really have much time for myself. It's all good though, when we make it out west i still plan on visiting. - golfingsince
Are you still in New Brunswick?
We got a Jack Russell pup back in September, as well. Make sure you look us up when you are on the island.

Yup, Moncton.
Expecting another storm like something the rest of the country rarely sees. High wind, rain, snow, ice really.
I'm not sure wether to expect 50 cm of snow, 50 mm of rain or what combination.
Hopefully i'll be able to watch both football games tomorrow. We have all kinds of provisions for a storm though. Bloated knows all about it.

I hope so, and I want to be put in your itinerary, I owe you a few drinks for all your help and generosity when I went to Ottawa a couple of years ago.
There was a select few who thought the Sedin's needed to be here for another year. They are also the same people that thought this team (unless they tank hard) was going to be a bottom 5 team. As you can see wrong on both accounts.
if it wasnt for petey this would 100% be the case. maybe even if he was only on a 60 point pace
I've taken it upon myself to inform rueby that he's been replaced as head cheerleader.
I admit this team is not as bad as I thought it would be, unfortunately for the long term success of the franchise, it's a paper dragon.
The signing of beagle helped us weather the injury storm and will result in vantel being right about us drafting between 10 and 15.
Unfortunately, this will be beagles best season as a canuck and by the time we're an actual contending team he'll be an Eriksson size bust.
I still don't get the idea that building from the bottom of the roster is better then building from the top, you win with stars, not bums.
Hopefully they can unload gagner to some sucker and trade Sutter for a 2nd before next season begins as his role is redundant with beagle. Ideally they can trade beagle with a 6th rounder next deadline for a 7th to avoid his production falloff.
While some disagree, having hughes and Karlsson as an offensive pairing would teach Hughes alot about playing and would be a dominant offensive force for years.
I also panarin and would grab my ankles to sign him to play on our top line.
It's not going to happen but if we had a high pick this year and signed those two players, we'd be an instant contender while still maintaining future prospect depth and talent.
TLDR: beagle and Sutter are redundant, trade one. Sign allstar talent, not over the hill "champions" to retirement contracts. - Pres.cup
i chide myself for taking you too seriously, but come on man.
"better follow "the plan" at all costs". nah. situations are fluid. adaptability is massive.
beagle allows bo and ep to develop. its not about building from the bottom up.
At this moment I want one long term contract over 5 years EP40. I don't believe in long term contracts and I wish the hell GMs and Owners would make 5 years the max. Too many teams get (frank)ed over with 6, 7, and 8 year deals - VANTEL
Two G's aren't good centers, 2 G's are young replacement level centers.
Beagle is fine for 8 minutes a game. Not in 2 years though.
But for 3m over 4 years I'd hope to see a total goals for of over 20, which I'll be flabbergasted if he produces.
He is fine this year and possibly next, after that....
On a contending team, you don't play your 4th line center 3m.
Washington pays theirs 800k
Pittsburgh plays theirs 650k
Calgary pays theirs 1.6m
Tampa 780k
Toronto 750k
Winnipeg 824k
Doesn't anyone else see a pattern? We pay ours two to 4 times as much as any of the contending teams. That is why one of Sutter or Beale has to go.
Not hating on beagle, just saying that we don't need him and Sutter, gaudette is ready for 8 minutes although id rather they give the garbage 4 to 8 minutes a game to a player far more likely to be a career 4th liner, like gaunce and give gaudette 15 minutes a night in a 3rd line role.
But what do I know, I've only played GM mode for a decade.

I'm being half to fully facetious..... - Pres.cup
Don't worry Pressy. Once EP gets 10 million per season they won't be able to pay Sutter and Beagle.
I still believe in the tank but it looks like I’m in the minority. If you can’t beat them join them.
Let’s hear it boys... three cheers for mediocrity! - bloatedmosquito
They could leave mediocrity simply by signing a better free agent or making a trade.
Skinner to Buffalo
Hoffman to Florida
Looking like very good trades and the cost was relatively cheap considering neither team gave up a 1st for players that are almost ppg.
Even looking at the Ryan O;Reilly trade. Sobotka has 10 points, thompson has 10 points. Berglund doesn't even play anymore. 1st this year and 2nd two in 2021. The 1st will be higher then STL had hoped but O'Reilly is having a really good season.
