I posted yesterday that I hate 11:30 am starts, but the game certainly was entertaining.

They weren’t .500 - they were 6-9. That’s not .500.

And the 6 wins were because 12/19/88 were scoring at a goal/per/game RACH pace. That wasn’t sustainable even if Scottie Bowman were the coach.

Yes, they didn't look uninspired in NJ the other night. Or in that long string of games when they gave up the 1st (and sometimes 2nd & 3rd & 4th goals). JC really had them playing hard back then. Good times!

One thing that has not changed from Q to Colliton, the wings do not cover the opposing dmen. Something about their defensive scheme needs to change or maybe they just need more time to fully get that scheme down pat.

Yeah. . .I had asked if Waite was the coach at both the NHL and AHL level. If not, do you guys think Waite is teaching him a new style? One that may not actually be his best?

ETA: no slam on Waite, who from all evidence is an excellent goalie coach. . .but coaches can get into a rut too, trying to fit everyone into the same style that has worked for others

PDX, meant to post about this the first time you asked about this a few days ago but just got too busy at work.

Peter Aubrey is the goalie development coach in Rockford. Never played goal in the NHL, some time in the minors but mostly in Europe.

Not sure if the title "goaie development coach" means for the AHL only or if he also works with the Indy goalies and travels to observe and give advice to the goalie prospects like Gravel.
