I could see this happening from time to time. Nothing wrong about that. Just don't plug Hörnqvist on the 3rd line. - Barnaby36
But Kessel on the 3rd is ok? |

Lol. Rino you beat me to it... Hornqvist, Malkin, and Pearson or Simon will be fine. Kessel needs help on the third line and I’m not so sure Rust on Sid’s line is going to continue to produce. I’ve got not problem blending up the lines but I still don’t care for Brass at 3C and also watching Hornqvist play with Sid makes me wanna vomit |

Geno is not a winger. - Rinosaur
One of the worlds best centers who's going through rough patch. "Rough patch" should be taken in the context that he's still over a point per game this season.
I'm just glad Sullivan came to his senses and put Kessel back on his line. Brass's line looked pretty good for a change too. Kessel and Brass should simply never play together. For what ever reason it doesn't work. |

Kessel is Malkin's perfect wing in my book. Do you want him in the 3rd line experiment? I don't. |

While Brassard has looked better the past two games, I think it might be too late for him. There's not enough time between now and a possible trade for Brassard to change Rutherford's mind if he's deadset on trading him. Remember that Rutherford likes to move early and you can't really risk that Brassard is just feeling it for a couple of weeks and then goes back to being Derrick Suttard. |

Watching Horny Sid and Guentzel tear the playoffs up last year made you vomit? For some dumb reason Sully took horny off that line. |

I mean technically he has until the trade deadline. I think this line combo is Brass' absolute last chance and Ruth should wait this line out for a couple weeks |

I think Hornqvist will eventually make it back on that line, but putting Rust on that line while he was scoring at will isn't some dumb reason. If Brassard ends up waking back up, I'd like our eventually playoff lines to be:
Guentzel-Crosby-Hornqvist
Pearson-Malkin-Kessel
Simon-Brassard-Rust
ZAR-Sheahan-Wilson/Cullen
The top three lines seem like a natural arrangement, but I'm sure its unreasonable to expect Sheahan will be used as 4C instead of Cullen. Cullen's Sully's guy. |

If he has a chance to get somebody who he feels "fits" better he should do it. If he's not entirely sure a new player will be better, he should wait it out. Brassard playing better really works in our favor. I'm still set on dealing him, but the last couple of games doesn't make me hate him so much.
I'm anxious to see that line again tonight. Simon looks like a much better RW than left and I really like Pearson's game. Dude could work on any line. |

Except the flaw in this is that the only time Brass has come remotely close to being like Sutter is this season... Sutter has always been like Sutter. Extremely large sample size of Brass not being like Sutter.
If that 3rd line looks like it did last night more games than not, then I don't want him going anywhere. We'll see how it looks tonight.
Tough game tonight. Hard road B2B. |

That was the Brassard line to start the season and I remember them flying in the pre-season.

Yeah they were the talk of the town during preseason and then disappeared literally as soon as the first regular season game and was never tried again. If Brassard gets kicking I’d like to see it tried again. |

If they can't find a decent trade out there to sell and replace Brass... I'd rather not force a move just to make a move. |

I agree with you, but Rutherford makes moves for better or for worse. If he feels like he needs to move Brassard he will. |

Let’s not forget why Hornqvist spent so much time on the third line early this season, he was terrible. Why was he terrible? Because his dump n chase process is extremely ugly. I have not been shy at all about the fact that I’m part of the Trade Hornqvist Committee |

I was going to follow the Pens through Cali and the desert. Well I got my wisdom teeth pulled and it changed everything. But also, those Vegas tips are damn expensive |

Full disclosure: I have always hated dump and chase hockey. There is absolutely a time for it but there’s also a time for cut backs and controlled entries.
As far as him tearing it up in the playoffs, Sid and Guentzel were UNREAL in the playoffs last year. Almost anyone would’ve picked up additional points playing with them. Aside from last year, his 0.52PPG in the playoffs playing with Sid or Geno is.. unimpressive. I much rather would’ve spent his cap hit on Kane (or Skinner but in all honesty I wanted Kane more at the time) |

Well, it depends on how you plan. January through June is definitely the most expensive period in Vegas, but there are less expensive ways to plan your trip out here. You don't have to stay on the strip. |

Was just supposed to say tickets. I’m doing a poor job of spell checking while on these meds. I’m just over in Scottsdale so a trip wouldn’t be to bad, but the tickets for this game are pretty pricey. Surprisingly they were cheapest in Anaheim and still cheaper in LA than they were in AZ |

Yes, the tickets are absurdly priced. Hopefully they'll drop in another year or so. |
