I hope Markstrom has turned the corner and become a legitimate starter.

I think Canucks right now have to be feeling pretty good where they are sitting same as the Habs.

In the summer both teams were being ripped and were sent to the dungeons by the hockey world. I remember in the summer having the debate that Montreal absolutely won the trade between Galchenyuk and Domi.

The thing is everyone myself included love taking the Armchair GM spot and thinking we are smarter than the guys actually doing the job.

I see almost everyday about how bad Granlund is. He is on pace for 12-15 goals , kills penalties and plays all forward spots for 1.5 mil. That my friend is a bargain.

Hutton is another one. He is quietly having a solid year with 5 goals 17 pts. Hits fights and is moving the puck well. His game is improving and he is only 25 .

People dislike Gudbrandson Sutter Markstrom but all in all the Canucks are playing good hockey and getting better.

I think if you asked anyone if they thought Canucks would have 48 pts in mid January would they consider it a success , I think most would say hell ya.

So when I think Mgmt hear move this guy, bring up this guy , sign him waive him , it all turns into white noise to ownership.

- Habs are worse off than Van
- Nothing wrong with Granlund when he isn't asked to do too much
- Gudbranson is a tire fire, Sutter and Marky are fine
- Appreciate the positivity

You need to check the standings Habs are tied for 10 th 2 points out of 2 nd in the East
Gudbrandson had the biggest reaction with one of his hits last night.

Guddy needs to hit more and handle the puck less.

Yup but he is decent in front of the net. You get him in the corners or on the boards he can have his moments (and not in a good way) He is overpaid . He is needed until they can replace him. The good thing he is on a short deal.

It would be stupid to fight in a 2-2 game . Kassian is a plug if he sits out 5 minutes who cares. Canucks needed Gudbransons toughness in front of the net.

this is why i called bullpoop everytime i heard "they dont have a plan" over the last few years.

this was the plan all along. the goalie situation has worked out perfectly - nilly here for insurance as long as needed then buh bye its demko time. admittedly markstrom could have continued to suck but they made the evaluation that they could keep developing him.

anyways boys the rebuild is essentially over. from here on out its draft & develop all the way. ship guys out when the time is right, continue to bring up prospects when they're ready ad infinitum.

the final piece of course is the big ticket FA or trade and i think they'll be patient with this.

Brackett can do that, we need a dealer who can bend any other GM over a table.

We need so many pieces. How anyone watch yesterday’s game not see this? Edmonton sucks and they carried play. One injury and we can’t compete
