Marroon is def on the block.
Petro for Johnson and a 1st no bueno. - Taynos
Upon cap-friendlying your team, damn... fire your GM (frank) lol..
Blues would be almost MAGA stupid if they dont blow it up. They should be acquiring picks and young speedy players. A a first and a young speedy Johnsson wouldn't be the worst thing for you guys. Theres going to be pain, but in 4-5 years you could be back in contention with guys like Kyrou, Fabbri, Parayko, Dunn etc.. You gotta move on from the core, it's done. |

yeah, not sure why they would do that - senstroll
they basically save his career and watch him become a good nhler and then they trade him for some guy that is a little bit worse in every area lol
makes sense i guess |

This doesn't make sense to me. Are there picks going back for Nino?
Only 1.5 million cap difference between them. - TheMussel
I’d think Nino is the better player....
The wild get some cap savings. Maybe they want to do more. |

No salary retention in the Niederreiter - Rask deal. Straight up.
thats the type of move Dubas needs to get in on. Nino is very good and pretty underrrated.
Canes are smart and this is a good move |

But Maroon is negative value. - markmark
He makes 1.75m. And by the time the deadline comes around most of it will paid off. It's not cap dump to move him |

Maybe the Wild were thinking that if you are going to have an overpaid player might as well take the one with less of a cap hit. |

No, exactly. Plus, he shouldn't cost a lot.. We could use the added toughness.
Pietrangelo and Maroon for Johnsson, Liljegren, Gardiner and a 2nd rd pick |

I like Nino, but let's be real. An advanced stats darling 40 point winger for 5.25mil is a bit rough. Rask ain't great though. Agreed. Maybe this finally spells the end of all those rumours on Coyle? Or the Wild expect the departure of Staal in the off-season? |

I just applied to take over for Armstrong. They are looking over my resume. I've won 4 fantasy hockey championships and am Platinum rated on Yahoo fantasy. Back in my playing says , I was gritty 2 way roller hockey forward on the Tennis Courts back in St Louis, and possessed world class agility and hand eye coordination at NHL '95. |

Maybe the Wild want to get younger and are looking to rebuild on the fly.
Niederreiter is 26
Rask is 25
