as I was watching the play I knew Tampa was offside so I was wondering how long they could go without their goal getting called back.

I figured once the Leafs cleared their zone, then the "offside" was over.

Offside is not over, if it is not called. There would have been a play that was to be called back, does it matter where the players go, or how long. This is not a delayed offside, it is a missed call.

I'll add a couple faces for whatever reason...

It should be the spirit of offside, where it's clearly visible in real time to the linesman. If it takes slo mo replays to catch it, let it go. The marginal offsides will even out for both teams.

How many goals are scored on bogus penalty calls. How many penalties are not caught where goals should have been scored.

It is a (frank) of a lot more than goal scored when a play was a micro-second offside and it was so closet he lineman could not tell without slow mo and high def.

Offside is not over, if it is not called. There would have been a play that was to be called back, does it matter where the players go, or how long. This is not a delayed offside, it is a missed call.

I have watched all games.

Nylander is not better than Johnsson / Brown or Lindholm this season.
He has to be.
Don't understand why people have so many difficulties recognizing that he has been really really subpar so far.

Yep. And my whole life watching hockey, I never remember anyone complaining about missed offside calls. There was that one play where what's his face was way offside and scored that lead to all this. It was a solution in search of a problem.

Yeah the only time it matters is if it’s in the finals and it’s way offside and the refs miss it....

But the chances of that happening are slim. Either take it out or make the punishment a 5 min major for being wrong.

It’ll stop coaches from trying to challenge the ones that are a microsecond offside.

I assert that the missed call isn't reviewable once the team clears the zone.

I asked if the other team cleared the zone after the missed off-side call.

He has been back for roughly 5 weeks now? It seems people are willing to give him a free pass for the season.
