Away from home? Seriously? Millions of college and university students do the same thing every year and have no issues. They all dont go to school at home, they find a place to rent on their own or pay to live on campus....

Everything is taken care of by billets and their teams and their agents. They miss half the school year due to road trips. Parental discipline is sometimes thousands of miles away. It's basically year-in-year-out summer camp outside of hockey.
