We acquired Joseph Blandisi LW (scouting report compares him to Steve Ott and Marchand). He played for NJ and ANA. He is a RFA after this season. I still would have liked to keep Grant or trade from Aberg due to his speed, but during DKs write up he did say he plays with some energy. Maybe he will surprise us and be a pretty good 3rd/4th line player. He seems kinda small, but he does fight, dish out hits, and sits in front of the net. I guess we will find out. Rumors also have it Horny flew in to Arizona to possibly play with the team.

Honestly at this point I hope horny just sits out until after our break if he's having these concussions. Let him rest.

We traded Grant to Anaheim for a 24 year old prospect...I am sad about this one. I was hoping they would keep Grant and maybe slot him in full time as the 3rd or 4th line center. He seems to play well when on the ice. I would have rather traded away Cullen

Grant gone does not effect me at all one way or another. He was scratched most nights. This new guy seems like he might play with a fire and has wheels, certainly has the potential to bring a bit more than Grant. Some nights the Pens were playing with 4 or 5 Cs in their bottom 6.

I mean they have Blandisi listed as center but I'm sure he can play wing. But we'll see what happens with him, I feel he can be sent to the A for a little more cap space if needed.

Blandisi is a good little player. He looked really solid his rookie season with New Jersey. I always thought of him as a Talbot type player. 5'11", agitates a bit, skates hard, will jump in for teammates, plus he's more skilled than he gets credit for. Solid pickup as a 4th liner/13th forward.

And, yeah, he's more effective on the wing.

So, we pick up bladisi, are looking hard at ferlund, and the stars and blue jackets are interested in Brassard?

Definitely agree. If somehow JR could convince the BJs to part with Jenner in some type of Brassard trade I would weep tears of joy for that.

I'm not that interested in Nash. Rather just keep Brassard if that's the case despite him being a disappointment.

It's interesting that the teams seem to be talking though.

With some money retained I'd be interested in a Wennberg for Brassard type of deal.

All I remember about Blandisi is that he had a bit of an embellishment problem as a rookie.....he had some really bad dives
