I thought OJ was Cam Barker, haven’t you heard?
- neem55

Cam Barker was a big slow defenseman who put up points in junior and had a big shot.

Bouchard is a big slow defenseman who put up points in junior and has a big shot.

OJ is a slight shifty defensemen who puts up points and has a good first pass.

He put up 13 points in 18 games on a crappy comets team, I'd say his production in the AHL shows him to be a 3 or 4 in the nhl, 30 to 40 PPG of he sees any PP time.

Only idiot's think OJ is a bust.

OJ's Griffin Reinhart. Draft eligible defender plucked off a stacked team at the MC. Magically takes an enormous step backwards once all the actually good players have left that junior team the following year.

I remember when Reinhart looked like poop in his D+1 season it was because "he's actually too good for the CHL that he's bored. That's why he's playing poorly. He's actually so good he's bad"

And then when he went to the AHL with massive holes in his game and stank "Its because he's actually too good again and is bored by the competition. Just wait until he's in the NHL. You'll see!"

I was pretty sure Petey wasn't playing tonight but was hopeful anyway. Oh well.

I'm all in on Josh Leivo tonight. And curious to see if Milan Lucic can keep his one-game scoring streak alive...

lol Could you imagine if by some miracle we met the Flames in the first round with Ferland on our roster and he did exactly to them what he did to us.

This is why I had such a tough time evaluating OJ and Tkachuk on that team. They were flat out stacked, and usually on those junior teams, there's at least 1 dude who gets viewed as a bluechip prospect since he's playing with a future NHL star or even 2 of them on the PP and spending most of his shifts in the offensive zone at 5v5 while racking up points.

I think it's too soon to call OJ a Reinhart type bust. If he can get his skating back to where it was when he was drafted then I still think his ceiling is a 2nd pairing offensive dman who needs to be sheltered at 5v5.
